After reaching the hotel, our representative will assist you with the check-in procedures. After you have rested a bit, we will introduce you to your tour guide and conduct a pre-trip briefing, including the route, weather conditions, and any last-minute questions.

The Kathmandu sightseeing tour will start after morning breakfast at the hotel. Your guide will pick you up from the hotel and swiftly begin the tour from Kathmandu Durbar Square, a World Heritage Site known for its medieval temples, wood carvings, and stone sculptures. Next, we'll head to Patan Durbar Square, featuring similar historical wood crafts, artistry, and old palaces of the Malla and Shah Kings.
We will now head towards the Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site by the Bagmati River. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the god of destruction, where Hindu cremation ceremonies also take place in the Aryaghats.
Continuing, we will explore the Boudhanath Stupa, the largest Buddhist Mandala in the world and a major pilgrimage site. Boudhanath Stupa is also often called “Little Tibet” due to a large Tibetan community, authentic Tibetan shops/restaurants, and monasteries in the area.
Lastly, we will visit Swayambhunath Stupa, or the "Monkey Temple," located atop a hill. The stupa is widely popular for its panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley, hundreds of monkeys, and major holy events like Buddha Jayanti. This tour provides deep insights into Nepal's religious and historical heritage through these UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

From Kathmandu, you will take an early morning flight to the lakeside city of Pokhara, which takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival, you will check in at your hotel before starting the city sightseeing tour at 11:00 AM. The tour will include visits to several prominent places.
First, you will visit the Bindabasini Temple, located in the old bazaar and dedicated to the Goddess Bhagwati. Next, you will see the famous Davis Fall, also known as Patale Chhango, on the southern flank of the Pokhara valley, where water cascades through numerous rocky gorges.
Across from Davis Fall is the revered Gupteshwor Cave, a 3 km long cave with hall-sized rooms and narrow passages, where a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved. The tour will then take you to the Seti River Gorge, carved by the Seti-Gandaki River and considered one of Pokhara's natural wonders.
Finally, you will enjoy boating on the tranquil Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal, with the Barahi Island Temple in its center. This two-storied pagoda, dedicated to the female force Shakti, offers reflections of Mount Machhapuchhre and the Annapurna range in its serene waters.

Today, you will depart Pokhara and fly to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel. You have the afternoon and the evening to stroll along the streets of Kathmandu for some last-minute shopping. At the end of the day, you will also be treated to a farewell dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances.

Patan, also known as Yala (Lalitpur), is said to have been founded in the 3rd century BCE by the Kirat dynasty. This historic origin lists the city as the oldest of the three cities (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan) of the valley.
It is said that the city flourished as an independent city-state during the Malla and Licchavi periods, becoming a major center of Newari art, Buddhist culture, architecture, and traditional craftsmanship. Particularly during the Malla period (from the 16th to 18th centuries), the palaces, courtyards, and temples that define Patan Durbar Square today were built or renovated.
These rich artworks have earned their reputation as the “City of Fine Arts”, offering a unique experience of Kathmandu Valley’s ancient history and culture.
The Krishna Mandir in Patan was built in 1673 AD by King Siddhi Narsingh Malla. The temple was built after the king dreamed of Lord Krishna and Radha standing in front of his royal palace. It features a Shikhara style (stone-carved architecture) with the first-floor beams detailed with art from the Mahabharata.
Likewise, the second-floor beams feature scenes from the Ramayana, transforming the temple walls and pillars into a visual storytelling. In addition, this allows visitors to explore ancient Hindu mythology through the craftsmanship of Newar artisans.
Overall, the Krishna Mandir offers more than religious significance. The temple provides a glimpse into Nepal’s medieval art, mythology, and stone-carving heritage. The perfect combination of Shikhara architecture, Mahabharata carvings, and the temple’s 21 golden peaks makes it one of the most fascinating cultural attractions to visit in Patan.
Before Pokhara became one of the most popular tourist destinations, it was an important trading hub on the historic trade routes used by merchants, connecting India and Tibet. Its strategic location between the Himalayan passes and the southern plains made the city a suitable stopover for traders.
By the 18th century, Pokhara had turned into an established marketplace, linking Jumla, Kathmandu, Tibet, and the Indian plains. The city’s commercial growth is closely connected with the arrival of Newar merchants from Bhaktapur who were invited to Pokhara to promote trade and establish businesses.
During this era, traders exchanged goods such as salt, wool, spices, ghee, honey, wax, oilseeds, medicinal herbs, and woolen products. Similarly, merchants from India brought goods including tea, sugar, cotton clothing, medicines, and other products. As of now, Pokhara’s Old Bazaar and Bhimsen Tole still reflect the trading heritage through their historic shops, traditional Newari architecture, and temples linked with commerce.

Nepal Hiking Team made our 4-day, 3-night trip to Nepal truly special. From the very first message, Ganga Ji was incredibly responsive and thoughtful—he really listened to what we were interested in and crafted a fantastic itinerary that included great hotels and well-organized tours. Our guide, Kumar Ji, was absolutely wonderful—kind, knowledgeable, and a joy to travel with. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Hoping to return soon. Nepal Hiking Team is simply the best!

Nepal Hiking Team organized an intricate 30-day custom holiday for me and a friend, two schoolmates now in our late 70s. We requested a journey that would take us up the Langtang Valley, then to Chitwan Nature Reserve, on to Pokhara, and finally to Poon Hill.
When booking a trip like this, there's always some concern about finding a trustworthy and reliable organization. However, those worries vanished the moment we arrived at our hotel in Kathmandu and were warmly welcomed by Ganga, our guide Ram, and our "porter." We were provided with travel bags, jackets, and sleeping bags.
It’s worth explaining that a “porter” here is an unbelievably strong Gurkha who can carry up to 50 kg of baggage up and down mountains and through rivers, using a simple piece of plastic webbing, often cut from a sack, supported on his head. Their incredible strength and skill often go unrecognized, but it left a lasting impression on us.
From the high quality of the equipment, it was immediately clear that we were dealing with a responsible organization that knew exactly what they were doing. This first impression was confirmed throughout the trip. Ganga was always reachable by phone to answer any questions and readily made adjustments to the schedule when we asked.
Our guide, Ram, was clearly an expert. During our Langtang hike, we faced severe weather and landslides, which destroyed bridges and the return path. While many were affected, Ram skillfully found a safe route back, involving a day of climbing above the landslides and half-sliding down an improvised path. Throughout the journey, Ram was always mindful of my age and prepared to support me if needed.
All transportation between locations was efficiently arranged, including a flight from Pokhara back to Kathmandu.
In summary, I highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team for a safe, reliable, and adventurous journey in Nepal.

My luxury escape to Nepal with Nepal Hiking Team was truly unforgettable. From the moment I booked my trip, their exceptional organization skills ensured that every aspect of my journey was taken care of, allowing me to fully enjoy myself. Our guide, Kumar Rupakheti, was incredibly knowledgeable and led us through the stunning cities of Kathmandu, Lumbini, Chitwaan, and Pokhara, ensuring we didn't miss any hidden gems.
I was impressed by the comprehensive package provided by Nepal Hiking Team, which covered meals, accommodation, and transportation. The top-notch accommodations, blending heritage and classic hotels, added a touch of luxury to my stay.
A highlight of the trip was the once-in-a-lifetime experience of a helicopter ride to Everest. Words cannot describe the breathtaking beauty I witnessed from above the world's tallest peak. It was a surreal and awe-inspiring moment that I will cherish forever.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to Nepal Hiking Team for their impeccable service and attention to detail. Every aspect of the trip was meticulously planned, and their professionalism and dedication were evident throughout. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking a luxury escape in Nepal.
In conclusion, my luxury escape to Nepal surpassed all expectations. From the excellent organization of Nepal Hiking Team to the knowledgeable guide, Kamar Rupacheti, every aspect of the trip was exceptional.
The accommodations were outstanding, and the helicopter ride to Everest was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I cannot thank Nepal Hiking Team enough for their exceptional service, and I enthusiastically recommend them to anyone looking to explore the beauty of Nepal.
We had to make some last-minute changes to our itinerary, deciding to spend more time in Pokhara and less in Kathmandu during our final days. Nepal Hiking Team was super flexible and happily adjusted everything for us, even on short notice.
On top of that, we wanted to book some activities like zip-lining, bungee jumping, and a helicopter tour with local providers in Pokhara. Ganga, Hari, and the team took care of all the bookings and made sure we had everything we needed.
In the end, we had an absolutely unforgettable vacation in the stunning Nepal!
Nepal is incredible on its own—but Nepal Hiking Team makes it even better!
I highly recommend booking with them, and without a doubt, I’ll be using them again for any future trips to Nepal.
Professional, hardworking and friendly team. We were treated with care and concern. The director made effort to meet every single client at the start and end to make sure everything is fine. We had great guides too - Arun, Padam and also extremely friendly porter Mr Prim and patient driver, Thruba. Nepal is very beautiful although I have to say - the travelling can be a little frustrating due to the road conditions and delays. I will recommend to fly instead of driving between cities whenever possible for a more effective use of your time as it could take way more than the estimated given time when there are unexpected road works and road blocks.a The highlights for us was Poonhill, pokhara, chitwan, nagarkot and bhaktapur. We upgraded our accommodations to 5 stars hotels and was very satisfied with all the hotels arranged. The only thing i would recommend to change for the itinerary is to leave Palpa out and spend an extra day in other cities like Pokhara or Nagarkot instead to have higher chance of viewing the himalayas as the weather is quite unpredictable these days. We didn't get to see the mountains at all in the viewpoints while in Pokhara. Luckily, we got to see it in Poonhill during the trek at least. Nepalese people are very nice and cultured. I would very much like to come back again to support their tourism. And when the time comes, its highly likely that I will choose Nepal Hiking team again as the tour provider!
