The Nepal Tour is an incredible tour package. Now, let’s look at the route overview, shall we?
The Nepal cultural tour package commences as soon as you arrive in Kathmandu via Tribhuvan International Airport. There will be a guide from our Nepal Hiking Team, and he will be waiting for you at the gate when you come in through the airport. They will then drive you to your hotel, see to it that you are checked in, and inform you of the schedule of activities and the trip plan.
The following day is scheduled for a Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour and Bhaktapur trip, where you will be guided through the various attractions. You will then tour several heritage sites to learn about the country’s cultural past before driving to Nagarkot. The next morning, you will witness an exceptionally beautiful sunrise at Nagarkot and then depart to Chitwan. To the north of Pokhara, there are a series of jungle activities in Chitwan National Park planned for you the whole day. You can watch some splendid wildlife, such as a horn Rhinoceros, a monitor Lizard, and even a Royal Bengal Tiger, if you are lucky enough.
Another destination you pass on from the wonderful jungle safari is Lumbini. Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, is one of the best places for religion and spirituality. You will be visiting the Mayadevi Temple, the Lumbini Garden, monasteries, and also temples. Autumn is incredibly beautiful; feel the positive energy and the touch of peace all the time you are there. From Lumbini, you will travel over a beautiful hilly stretch heading to the small settlement of Tansen, Palpa. The major tourist attractions in Tansen include the cultural values of the Newar community, Newari architecture, and Rani Mahal, which is also called the Taj Mahal of Nepal.
After Palpa, you will drive to the charming Nepalese city of Pokhara. The scenic view in the tour of Pokhara Valley is so interesting that it makes you visit some places like Sarangkot, Bindabasini Temple, Davis Fall, and others. You can also take a boat ride on Fewa Lake and feel its serenity. On the following day, you’ll take a drive up to Birethanti and start your trek to Ulleri. The next day, you’ll trek to Ghorepani and then to Poon Hill and Ghandruk.
After the journey across the mountain, you’ll get back to Kathmandu. Once you reach Kathmandu, you’ll have a farewell dinner at an authentic Nepalese restaurant. During the dinner, you’ll have special Nepalese cuisine and enjoy cultural shows as well. On the last day, you’ll be picked up from a hotel and taken to the airport for your departure flight.
Nepal is indeed a fascinating country packed with lots of fun and exciting things to do on this adventure. Still, it has a few adventurous parts, especially during the Best of Nepal Tour when trekking in the High Himalayas. The entire Nepal Hiking Team would like to ensure that your journey with us will be beautiful and memorable.
If you’re still unsure, we have compiled a list of the top 15 reasons why choosing this trip is the best decision.
You can undertake this best Nepal tour and trek at any time of the year, including winter! You’ll start in Kathmandu, exploring its ancient temples and markets, then head to Bhaktapur before catching a stunning Nagarkot sunrise over the Himalayas. Winter is also a great time for wildlife adventures; Chitwan National Park will be cooler, perfect for safaris and spotting rhinos.
The Poon Hill trek might be chilly, but it’s totally worth it for the clear mountain views. Just pack a warm jacket, and you'll be fine. The drives from Lumbini to Pokhara and beyond will be scenic, too, with fewer tourists around.
So, yes—winter’s a wonderful time to explore Nepal without the crowds. Just go for it!
You can also embark on our fantastic Nepal Trip and tour during the summer. Nepal's summer, particularly during the monsoon months of June, July, and August, features warm, humid weather with frequent rain showers. It was challenging in certain areas during trekking, but it was a good time for cultural sites, festivities, and the lively street scene. The temperature varies from 20°C to 35°C, while the Terai region experiences the hottest days.
There are many festivities during the summertime, such as Rato Machhindranath Jatra in Patan and many others in different parts of the country. You can wander through the bustling street life and cultural scenes of Kathmandu and Pokhara. The ancient temples and monasteries, along with historical sites, provide rich cultural experiences.
Join us for the Best of Nepal Tour in December, January, and February 2025 & beyond 2026, which is a perfect time to explore Nepal's magnificent landscapes, rich culture, and natural beauty. These winter months bring crisp air, clear mountain views, and a peaceful atmosphere on the trails. Days are cold but stable, making it a great time for travelers who enjoy quiet routes and bright, blue-sky mornings.
We have some recommended tours for you. The tours listed below take place at a similar pace, are in the same region, and follow nearly identical routes.
This 9-day Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan tour focuses on heritage sites, Pokhara, Chitwan, and Nagarkot by excluding Lubmini and Ghorepani Poon Hill. If you are low on time and want an easier and shorter Nepal without trekking, then this can be a better option for you.
The 8-day longer Glimpse of Nepal Tours offers the similar tour option which excludes hiking and takes you to explore wildlife, a sightseeing tour, and the land of Buddha, Lumbini. This tour skips the Nagarkot stay and the trekking region.

Chitwan National Park can be described as a protected area located in the southern part of Nepal that is famous for its wildlife and nature. There, you can watch one-horned rhinos and Bengal tigers in the jungle during the jeep or boat safaris. It is one of the most beautiful areas to visit for those who would like to spend time in the forests of Nepal and see a variety of wildlife and fauna that appear to be abundant in this area, thus making it a natural paradise for the world.
While choosing the best Nepal Tour with us, some fun activities that can be carried out while in Chitwan National Park are:
Elephant rides have been a traditional part of safaris in Chitwan, but they are no longer promoted due to ethical concerns about animal rights. Instead, we provide sustainable alternatives such as jeep safaris, jungle walks, and canoe rides, which provide an equally thrilling way to explore the park.
Chitwan offers a remarkable variety of wildlife. The park is home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, one-horned rhinoceros, Asian elephants, leopards, sloth bears, and crocodiles. With more than 500 bird species recorded, it is also one of the best birdwatching destinations in Asia, giving travelers endless opportunities to witness nature at its best.
Well, who doesn’t know about Buddha? He is the founder of Buddhism, who spread the teachings of peace, reflection, and a deep connection. Lumbini is the birthplace of Buddha.
Are you familiar with Emperor Ashoka? If not, let us inform you that he was a king who helped to spread Buddhism. The Ashoka Pillar in Lumbini denotes the place where Ashoka visited to pay his respects to Buddha’s Birthplace.
You will stand at the Maya Devi Temple, where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Prince Siddhartha Gautam, who later became the Lord Buddha. Apart from this, you will be walking through a beautiful garden with monasteries built around it. They now belong to different schools of Buddhism.

We finished our 14 day tour of Nepal, which involved a 5-day hike in the Annapurna region. This was truly an incredible trip if you want to explore all of Nepal. This tour took us off the beaten trails, letting us see sights that many travelers miss as they head straight to the mountains. For the trekking portion, we're glad we chose a 5-day trek instead of the full journey to ABC. Though we're avid hikers and have done overnight treks before, we felt that 5 days was the perfect amount. The Nepal Hiking Team did a fantastic job. Our guide and porter were wonderful, and each evening, they treated us to fresh fruit after dinner—a unique touch we didn’t see with other companies.
Oh my goodness, where do I even start? This was hands down the best tour I have ever been on. I am honestly finding it hard to put into words what a wonderful and moving experience it was.
My husband and I wanted to see Nepal for our honeymoon. However, we decided to explore it in a slightly less traditional way and opted for a city tour instead of a hike. We had the opportunity to see Nepal in-depth, and it was truly remarkable. We visited various parts of Kathmandu, including all the iconic temples. We also ventured to Chitwan, where we witnessed breathtaking rice fields, went on a safari, and even spotted rhinos and a tiger! Our journey took us to the city of Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, and finally to Pokhara, where we were captivated by the beauty of the lakes and the awe-inspiring Annapurna Mountain range.
Experiencing the beauty of Nepal in this way was an incredible gift that my husband and I will cherish forever. What made our experience even more magical was our amazing guide, Dnes. His passion and kindness were unparalleled, and he patiently answered all our questions, sharing with us a wealth of knowledge about Nepal's political history and the Hindu and Buddhist religions. Both my husband and I were deeply saddened when our trip came to an end, as we felt like we were leaving behind a lifelong friend.
We must also mention our wonderful driver, Krishna, who ensured our safety during the long drives on challenging roads.
The entire tour was impeccably organized, from our initial communication with the owner to the warm greeting we received at the airport upon our arrival. The accommodation and food were delightful as well. If you're considering this trip, do it! You won't regret it.
Namaste - Mhari and Cam
Professional, hardworking and friendly team. We were treated with care and concern. The director made effort to meet every single client at the start and end to make sure everything is fine. We had great guides too - Arun, Padam and also extremely friendly porter Mr Prim and patient driver, Thruba. Nepal is very beautiful although I have to say - the travelling can be a little frustrating due to the road conditions and delays. I will recommend to fly instead of driving between cities whenever possible for a more effective use of your time as it could take way more than the estimated given time when there are unexpected road works and road blocks.a The highlights for us was Poonhill, pokhara, chitwan, nagarkot and bhaktapur. We upgraded our accommodations to 5 stars hotels and was very satisfied with all the hotels arranged. The only thing i would recommend to change for the itinerary is to leave Palpa out and spend an extra day in other cities like Pokhara or Nagarkot instead to have higher chance of viewing the himalayas as the weather is quite unpredictable these days. We didn't get to see the mountains at all in the viewpoints while in Pokhara. Luckily, we got to see it in Poonhill during the trek at least. Nepalese people are very nice and cultured. I would very much like to come back again to support their tourism. And when the time comes, its highly likely that I will choose Nepal Hiking team again as the tour provider!
We had an exceptional tour experience with the Nepal Hiking Team. Our trip was impeccably organized and seamlessly maintained.
Ganga Raj Thapa, the Managing Director of Nepal Hiking Team, was instrumental in planning our vacation. He worked closely with us to customize our stay in Nepal to suit our needs. We started with captivating sightseeing tours in the Kathmandu Valley and then took a scenic drive to Pokhara.
Throughout the tour, Ganga and Porter Yamu were incredibly supportive, sharing rich insights about the Annapurna Region, its culture, and the lifestyle of its people.
After trekking, we enjoyed a picturesque drive from Pokhara to Bandipur and then to Lumbini, where we indulged in a fascinating sightseeing tour. Our return to Kathmandu was equally well-prepared, and we gained a deeper understanding of Nepal's culture and people.
We highly recommend the Nepal Hiking Team for any trip to Nepal. You can trust them to take care of you, even if things don't go as planned.
