On your arrival day, one of our representatives will greet you at the airport and warmly welcome you to Nepal. From here, we will transfer you to your hotel, where you can rest and freshen up.
After relaxing for a while, we will have a pre-trip briefing where you will meet your tour guide, discuss the trip update, and clear any last-minute queries. Later on, guests are free to rest and prepare for the trip or stroll around the neighborhood.

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our sightseeing tour for the day. We will explore the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu, such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple on the tour.
All the monumental areas are historically affluent and showcase the rich cultural and artistic assets of Nepal. These sites also reflect the history behind the centuries-old civilization and the evolution of ancient crafts and arts.

On day 3, we will explore the ancient palaces and religious monuments of Patan and Bhaktapur, which include the palaces of former Malla Kings. We will observe the intricate Newari artistry adorned on the palace walls, windows, doors, and roofs.
After exploring the living Newar heritage, we continue our trip to Nagarkot, which will be our final destination for today. Nagarkot is one of the popular hill stations of Nepal inhabited mostly by the Tamang and Newar communities.

Today, we will wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over the majestic snow-capped peaks, including Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, and Gaurishankar.
After soaking in the sunrise moment, we will have breakfast and start our journey towards the city of lakes, Pokhara. Along the way, we will traverse river valleys, lush green hills, terraced rural villages, and roadside settlements.

Pokhara is one of the most visited cities offering adventure sports, natural beauty, and accessibility. We will start our sightseeing tour with a visit to Davis Falls, another popular destination in Pokhara. After that, we will visit Gupteshwor Cave, which is located right across from Davis Falls.
It is one of the longest caves in Nepal, spanning over 2,000 m. The cave features naturally formed rock formations resembling a Shiva Lingam, which is highly revered in Hinduism.
Following Gupteshwor Cave, the tour continues to the incredible natural wonder, Seti Gorge. The gorge is formed by glacial meltwater that carves its way through the city’s limestone bedrock and merges with the Trishuli River.
Our city tour concludes with a relaxing boat ride at Phewa Lake, the pristine bluish-green lake reflecting the majestic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

We wake up early and drive to Sarangkot to catch the incredible sunrise view over the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and Lamjung Himal. The drive is about a half-hour and goes through jungles and sparse semi-rural settlements.
After returning from Sarangkot, we will have breakfast and continue our drive to Chitwan. The journey covers around 160 km in total, traversing the lush green hills, farmlands, and river valleys to the warm Terai plains.

We will start exploring Chitwan National Park with an exciting canoe ride on the Rapti River. During this experience, travellers can spot the fish-eating Gharial and the Marsh Mugger basking in the sun along the riverbank.
We will then go for a thrilling jeep safari ride through the dense grasslands and sal forests inside the national park. Explorers can spot a wide range of wildlife such as sloth bear, one-horned rhino, Asian elephant, deer (sambar, spotted, hog), wild boars, and langurs.
Later on, we will go for a guided jungle walk with an experienced local naturalist, identifying flora and bird watching.

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will retrace our way back to the Kathmandu Valley with a scenic drive. Along the way, travellers pass through the flat Terai region and slowly transition to green hills, terraced farmlands, distant rural villages, and roadside settlements.
Note: Guests can take a return flight (20 minutes) from Bharatpur, Chitwan to Kathmandu for an additional cost of USD 143$ per person. The flight is not included in the tour package.

Indra Jatra is one of Kathmandu’s most important festivals, reflecting both Hindu and Buddhist traditions. The festival is dedicated to Indra, the Hindu god of rain, and features colorful chariot processions, traditional Lakhey dances, and the public appearance of the Kumari.
The Kumari is Kathmandu’s living goddess and is worshiped by both Hindus and Buddhists, making her a crucial symbol of the shared religious traditions of the Kathmandu Valley.
Pokhara was a major trade route connecting India and Tibet. Traders traveling through the Himalayan region would pass through the area with goods such as salt, wool, and livestock from Tibet.
This historic event made Pokhara a natural meeting point for traders and communities from different regions. This also helped shape Pokhara’s diverse cultural character, with influences from different ethnic communities and trading traditions becoming part of the city’s identity.
Pokhara is widely known as one of Nepal’s top destinations for ultralight flights and paragliding over Phewa Lake. Paragliding is commonly done from Sarangkot, a hilltop viewpoint offering panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif and Phewa Lake.
Besides that, Pokhara also offers a thrilling aerial tour over the lakes, hills, villages, and the surrounding mountains on an ultralight flight. This exciting flight allows visitors to experience Nepal’s landscapes with a short and scenic flight, without needing a multi-day hike. This makes Pokhara a perfect destination for explorers seeking both mountain views and adventure.
Chitwan National Park was established in 1973 as the Royal Chitwan National Park. The national park covers an area of 952.63 sq km (367.81 sq mi), making it the first national park established in Nepal to protect the biodiversity and wildlife.
In addition, the national park is located in the subtropical Terai and is home to one-horned rhinoceroses, Bengal tigers, Asian elephants, crocodiles, and hundreds of bird species. Moreover, it was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1984 and is now one of the most popular destinations for wildlife safaris.
The Tharu people from the Terai region have an unusual resistance to malaria. The Tharu community traditionally lived in the malaria-endemic forests and wetlands of Nepal’s Terai. Due to this, it is said that long-term exposure to the disease may have contributed to genetic adaptations.
Similarly, as per research, a notably high frequency of alpha-thalassemia, a genetic blood condition, was discovered in Tharu blood, which is believed to reduce the severity of malaria. However, this does not mean that all Tharu people are immune to malaria.

I'm reviewing my trip to KBC and Chitwan NP organized by Ganga from Nepal Hiking Team--thank you so much! My guide in the mountains was Arjun Dahal and my porter Furba Sherpa--I could not wish for a more supportive and knowledgeable crew. We could not get all the way to KBC due to weather turning bad (snowing and temperature dropping to -6F), but still had a great time and took a lot of memorable photos. y guide in Chitwan was Asharam--also had great time, saw Rhinos(many), wild boar, sloth bears(my first time), and a lot of birds. Thank you guys and I hope to be back
Nepal Hiking Team made our 4-day, 3-night trip to Nepal truly special. From the very first message, Ganga Ji was incredibly responsive and thoughtful—he really listened to what we were interested in and crafted a fantastic itinerary that included great hotels and well-organized tours. Our guide, Kumar Ji, was absolutely wonderful—kind, knowledgeable, and a joy to travel with. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Hoping to return soon. Nepal Hiking Team is simply the best!
Guided by Kumar Rupakheti
Nepal Hiking Team organized an intricate 30-day custom holiday for me and a friend, two schoolmates now in our late 70s. We requested a journey that would take us up the Langtang Valley, then to Chitwan Nature Reserve, on to Pokhara, and finally to Poon Hill.
When booking a trip like this, there's always some concern about finding a trustworthy and reliable organization. However, those worries vanished the moment we arrived at our hotel in Kathmandu and were warmly welcomed by Ganga, our guide Ram, and our "porter." We were provided with travel bags, jackets, and sleeping bags.
It’s worth explaining that a “porter” here is an unbelievably strong Gurkha who can carry up to 50 kg of baggage up and down mountains and through rivers, using a simple piece of plastic webbing, often cut from a sack, supported on his head. Their incredible strength and skill often go unrecognized, but it left a lasting impression on us.
From the high quality of the equipment, it was immediately clear that we were dealing with a responsible organization that knew exactly what they were doing. This first impression was confirmed throughout the trip. Ganga was always reachable by phone to answer any questions and readily made adjustments to the schedule when we asked.
Our guide, Ram, was clearly an expert. During our Langtang hike, we faced severe weather and landslides, which destroyed bridges and the return path. While many were affected, Ram skillfully found a safe route back, involving a day of climbing above the landslides and half-sliding down an improvised path. Throughout the journey, Ram was always mindful of my age and prepared to support me if needed.
All transportation between locations was efficiently arranged, including a flight from Pokhara back to Kathmandu.
In summary, I highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team for a safe, reliable, and adventurous journey in Nepal.

We had the best time in Nepal. The beautiful views and warm hospitality of the Nepali people are truly unparalleled.
Instrumental to our amazing experience were our guide, Netra, and porter, Vasu.
We were super well taken care of. Netra was quick to assess our physical abilities and was able to effectively set the pace for our hikes. He had very good knowledge of the route and terrain. Importantly, this was our first time attempting a hike at a high altitude, so he took extra care to check on us regularly.
On a personal note, proper gear, including a powerful down jacket for -20 degrees Celsius and a proper hiking backpack, is super essential.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Nepal Hiking Team and Netra/Vasu for your Nepal adventure!
