Want to trek to the Everest Region but have very limited time? We've got something that would be the most suitable option for you. The Everest View Trek is a trekking package that is regarded as one of the best short treks, one you can enjoy to the fullest.
The package is interesting as it covers all the attractive areas and highlights of the Khumbu region in a short amount of time. It consists of a nine days trek, where you'll walk along the ancient routes of the Everest region.
Apart from the trekking, the package also provides the trekkers a chance to get a deeper insight into the ethnic groups of the Everest Region- the Sherpas. The Sherpas are the groups that have the highest population in this region. They are known for their hospitable nature and also their excellent mountaineering skills. As the routes pass through their villages, you'll get to interact with the villagers and also learn about their lifestyle.
Overall, this package is amazing. With the help of our trekking guides and climbers, you'll have a fantastic time on the trek. You can join this trip and send us an inquiry so that we can guide you through the path of the Khumbu region.
The trek begins upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport. One of our staff from the Nepal Hiking Team will greet you and escort you to the hotel. Then, you'll take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla.
The hike will start from Lukla to Phakding. From phakding, you'll hike to Namche Bazaar. In Namche Bazaar, you'll take a day off for acclimatization purposes. You can hike to Everest View Hotel and get the whole day yourself on that day.
You'll hike from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche, located at 3,860m, and visit the famous Buddhist monastery, the largest monastery in Khumbu. You'll relish the spectacular panorama of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Thamserku from the monastery premises.
You'll retrace the route from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar and Lukla. After that, you'll fly back to Kathmandu and wrap up the trek.
In a nutshell, Everest View Trek is a short and easy trek in the Himalayas. Most days, you'll have to walk around four to five hours on a relatively moderate trail. It is an excellent way to indulge in authentic mountain life quickly.
As a trekker, you need to be aware of your safety, covid protocols, and the weather conditions of the place you are traveling to. We recommend some of the best times for the Everest View Trek.
The best times for the Everest View Trek are spring and autumn. These are the favorite season of all Nepalese and hikers as well.
The spring season lies in the month of March-May. In these months, the weather is warm; the skies will be apparent, highlighting the picturesque mountain peaks. Unlike the winter and monsoon seasons, you won't face harsh cold weather or rainfall in these seasons.
Next, we suggest the autumn season in September-November. These months can be described as relaxing, clear, and breezy. Hikers can get the most out of these months, as the hike will be cool, and one can enjoy the beautiful weather and the majestic snow-capped mountains.
While considering booking for the Everest View Trek, please consider these months mentioned.
The question that may arise for this trek is, Is the trek for beginners? Right.
We are here to answer this question for you in this section.
The Everest View Trek is a trek that consists of uphill and downhill terrains. You'll be crossing high-suspension bridges and hiking up to 3860m. With proper acclimatization, you can hike easily and complete the trek.
Beginners and well-experienced hikers can book this trek in the Everest region and enjoy it to their fullest.
We will happily arrange it if you are eager to book the Everest View Trek. However, if you still want to broaden your options, we have some recommendations for you.

During the peak seasons for the trip-name (March to May and September to November), all the Lukla flights will be operated from the Manthali Airport due to congestion at Tribhuvan Airport.
Arrive in Kathmandu at any time. Our airport representative will welcome you and explain the program further. There are no planned activities for the day, so check into the hotel. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.
Early morning transfer to the airport for Lukla flight. The flight to Lukla is a lifetime experience in itself. The airfield is at high evaluation and the difference between the two ends of the runway is about an exceptional 60 meters only. Trek to Phakding with an arresting, green landscape with the view of Kusum Kangraru. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
We follow the Dudh Koshi, ascending through Himalayan pine and cedar forests, to the celebrated village of Namche Bazaar. The village of Namche is a historic trading post where Nepalese and Tibetan traders exchange salt, dried meat and textiles.
Besides being a splendid destination to shop for traditional crafts, Namche remains the central trading post in the Khumbu that attracts Himalayan and lowland merchants. You will spend two days at Namche for acclimatization, visit local markets and spend time with your team. On the hike we capture our first glimpses of Everest and neighboring peaks.
This day is especially sectioned for acclimatization. We will hike to Syangboche Airport (3700m), supposed to be the highest airport in the world, then continue climbing to Everest View Hotel for great panoramic views of the Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Tawache etc. On the way back, we visit Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo Gallery.
The uniform and easy trail leads us towards the view of Mount Everest, descending deep into the Dudh Koshi Valley at Pungki Thanka and from this point, it ascends the right flank of the Dudh Koshi valley to Tengboche Monastery (3860m). It is the spiritual center of the Khumbu. The climb is lengthy, but is more than adequately compensated by gorgeous views of Mount Amadablam and on a clear day, views of Mt. Everest and its surrounding peaks.
Descend Pungki Thanka and complete steep to Kyangjuma, and easier trail to Namche.
The trek continues along the Dudh Kosi River to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla, where you will catch your return flight to Kathmandu.
30-minutes amazing scenic fly back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel, breakfast included.
Breakfast at hotel and approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight, a representative from the Nepal Hiking Team will take you to the airport.

I went in with little to no training and yet completed the trek — that's how great our guide was. Ram (our guide) was well-informed, well-prepared, and overall a hoot to be with. Handling and guiding six strangers with completely different personalities is no small feat.
The company was thorough about our comfort before, during, and after the trek, and made sure we were well taken care of.
Frankly, I’d like to do the Annapurna Circuit next with the same company and guide, knowing I’m in safe hands.
5/5 — wouldn’t change a thing
Well-organized trip. There were no glitches with accommodation or transportation.
Our guide, Shyam, was very attentive to our needs and always available whenever we needed him.
- Guided by Shyam Sitaula
Had an amazing and unforgettable trip with NHT to EBC with my best friend!
To begin with Ganga (CEO) was very efficient and had great communication with the administrative side of booking the trek- and already showed how highly professional the company is even before starting the trek.
A special shout out to our guide Ganga Tamang and porter Dipesh! From start to finish we were looked after amazingly, their knowledge, attentiveness and enthusiasm ensured that we were well informed and supported every step of the way! They went above and beyond to look after us on our trek and their skill still amazes us with the conditions and situations we faced even on the way back from EBC! Such as booking the best accommodation for us when we changed plans last minute on the way back to Lukla! They also make amazing photographers and ensure you capture and enjoy every moment!
On the day we were to fly out of Lukla- due to changing weather conditions flights were cancelled but with the organisation skills of both our guide Ganga and CEO Ganga- we were able to get on a helicopter at the end of the day and last minute which was extremely impressive compared to unfortunately other people being stranded even when booked for a helicopter! The journey itself down the lower heli pad was one to remember- Ganga and Dipesh helped my best friend and I through insane conditions through the forest which I would never expect a guide or porter to go through but they did for us and ensured we got to the heli pad safely and in time for our flight!
Still in shock to this day the commitment of care from them- not even just on that day! I still remember the push on EBC day when it got physically tough- Ganga and Dipesh were there supporting the whole way and I couldn’t have done it without them! Even just over a week after the trek I am already looking forward to booking my next trek with NHT- I wouldn’t book a trek with anyone else!
Absolutely five-star!
Like a fairy Tale. The' Roof of the world', 'Home of the Gods 'Even though there was a few bits that were quite challenging[above 4000metres], Our Guide Ram made it all to easy, To be Guided in the Himalayas by a total professional, who not only was in total control when unpredictable problems came up but at the same time seemed to love it in the Mountains more than anyone!
I will always be in your debt, Ram, for the way you cared and encouraged my Wife and daughter[Chicuuuuuuuuuu!!!!],
Missing your company,
Adam
Jam Jam!
I felt completely taken care of from the moment I made my first email inquiry (with Ganga) to getting me on my flight home. I am a 50-year-old solo traveler and was in Nepal for about a month, much of it on the trek. The communication and organization were 5-star+. My guide, Ram, was patient and extremely attentive. I ended up hurting my knee about 1/2 way, and Ram guided me back down safely. It was quite an adventure!
I also arranged a couple of day trips to Patan and Bhaktapur via Ganga and enjoyed them as well. I would definitely use Nepal Hiking Team when I return. Thank you, everyone.

Yes, the scheduled departures are specifically for the group joining option. If the listed dates do not fit your availability, you can contact Nepal Hiking Team. Their team is happy to provide alternative date options or help design a customized travel plan based on your preferences and schedule.
A highlight of the trek is the scenic flight to Lukla's Tenzing Hillary Airport, a lifetime experience. However, during peak seasons (March to May and September to November), flights to/from Lukla operate from Manthali Airport due to congestion at Tribhuvan International Airport. The flight duration is approximately 30 minutes each way and is included in your package, along with departure taxes.
Nepal Hiking Team has extensive experience managing flight disruptions in the Khumbu region. As noted in traveler reviews, guides and the company's CEO work proactively to secure alternative arrangements, such as helicopter transfers when flights are canceled. Your safety and timely itinerary completion are prioritized.
The package includes all ground transports in private vehicles. This covers airport transfers for both your arrival and departure, as well as any necessary city transfers in Kathmandu related to the trek.
Yes, this trek is specifically designed for beginners and those with limited time. It's rated "Easy to Moderate." The terrain involves uphill and downhill sections, suspension bridges, and walking up to 7 hours on some days. The maximum elevation reached is 3,880 meters at the Everest View Hotel. With proper acclimatization, beginners can successfully complete this trek.
Walking durations vary each day: Day 2 is 3 hours (8 km), Day 3 is 7 hours (10-12 km), Day 4 is a short acclimatization hike (3-4 km), Day 5 is 5 hours (10-11 km), Day 6 is 5 hours (11 km), and Day 7 is 7 hours (18-19 km). The pace is moderate, allowing for acclimatization and enjoyment of the scenery.
Acclimatization is crucial. An entire day (Day 4) is dedicated to this in Namche Bazaar (3,440m). On this day, you hike up to the Everest View Hotel at 3,880m, then return to Namche. This "climb high, sleep low" strategy helps your body adjust to the altitude, significantly reducing the risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS).
Your guide carries a first aid medical kit. Guides are trained to recognize symptoms of altitude sickness and will monitor your well-being closely. The itinerary is designed with a proper acclimatization day. In case of emergencies, the guide will coordinate evacuation. Travel insurance is mandatory to cover such contingencies.
The best times are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these months, weather is stable, skies are clear, and temperatures are moderate. These seasons offer the safest conditions with minimal risk of heavy rainfall or extreme cold, providing spectacular mountain views.
While the trek is beginner-friendly, a good level of fitness is beneficial. Prior to the trek, engaging in regular cardiovascular exercise (like hiking, jogging, or cycling) and leg strengthening will make your experience more enjoyable. The trek involves consecutive days of walking, so stamina is key.
Key items include sturdy, broken-in trekking boots, layered clothing (thermal base layers, fleece, and a waterproof/windproof jacket), trekking pants, a sun hat, a warm hat, gloves, and sunglasses. Nepal Hiking Team provides a duffle bag, down jacket, and sleeping bag. Check the cost excludes section for personal trekking equipment not provided.
You should bring your own personal toiletries, a water bottle or hydration system, high-SPF sunscreen, lip balm, trekking poles (optional but recommended), and any personal medications. A headlamp with extra batteries is also useful for evening walks around lodges.
The package includes the Sagarmatha National Park Permit and TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) card. You are required to bring two passport-size photos for the permits. Your guide will handle the permit arrangements on your behalf.
Accommodation is in the best available twin-sharing lodges (guesthouses). A key benefit is that private bathrooms with hot showers are provided in Phakding, Namche, and Lukla. In other locations like Tengboche, standard lodge facilities are provided. In Kathmandu, you'll stay in a 3-star category hotel with breakfast included.
While not explicitly mentioned in the page, lodges in Namche Bazaar and other larger villages generally offer Wi-Fi for a small fee. Mobile network coverage can be intermittent. Your guide will know the best spots for connectivity. This trek is an excellent opportunity to disconnect and enjoy the mountain environment.
Lodges in Tengboche offer basic but comfortable accommodations with shared facilities. They are well-maintained and provide essential amenities for trekkers. The focus is on the incredible location, with views of Ama Dablam and Everest from the lodge and monastery premises.
The package includes full board meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) with tea/coffee during the trek. You can expect a variety of nutritious meals, including Nepali staples like dal bhat, as well as Tibetan bread, pasta, noodles, soups, and other familiar options to fuel your trek. Seasonal fruits are also provided.
You have a few options for drinking water. You can purchase bottled water (a cost exclude) or bring a reusable bottle and treat water using purification tablets or a UV filter, which is more sustainable. Lodges also sell boiled water for a small fee. Staying hydrated is crucial for acclimatization.
Meals not specified in the itinerary's "Meal Inclusions" are not covered. This typically includes lunch and dinner in Kathmandu on the arrival and final days, as well as any additional snacks, cold drinks (coke, Fanta, etc.), or alcoholic beverages you choose to purchase.
Absolutely. The website states that if the standard itinerary doesn't meet your needs, Nepal Hiking Team can design individualized travel plans based on your preferences and specifications. You can inquire about a private trek for your own pace or specific interests, such as spending more time in a particular village.
Joining a scheduled group departure is a great way to meet fellow trekkers and share costs. A private trek offers more flexibility with dates, pace, and allows for a fully personalized experience with just your guide and porters. Both options include the same high level of service, guide expertise, and inclusions.
No, tips and gratuities for trekking staff and drivers are listed in the cost excludes. Tipping is a customary way to show appreciation for the hard work and dedication of your guide and porter. It is not mandatory but is highly encouraged as it forms a significant part of their income.
A unique highlight of this package is the acclimatization day hike to the Everest View Hotel. Located at 3,880m, it's one of the highest-placed luxury hotels in the world. From its premises, you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kongde. The hike itself is an integral part of the "climb high, sleep low" acclimatization strategy and offers one of the most stunning vantage points in the Khumbu region.
During the rest day in Namche Bazaar, your guide can show you local attractions. The itinerary specifically mentions a hike to Syangboche Airport (one of the highest airports in the world) and the Everest View Hotel. On the return, you'll have the opportunity to visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo Gallery, providing valuable insight into the region's history and mountaineering heritage.
This hike is more than just acclimatization; it's a microcosm of the entire trek's appeal. It delivers spectacular mountain vistas without the need to trek for many days to a base camp. It allows trekkers, especially beginners or those with time constraints, to experience the grandeur of the Everest region safely and memorably. It perfectly encapsulates the "Everest View" promise of the trek.
