Difficulty of the trek
How difficult is the Luxury Everest Trek? And how should I prepare for it?
The Luxury Everest Trek is easy to moderate, ideal even for beginners with basic fitness. No previous trekking experience is required. With well-paced days, comfortable lodges, and expert guidance, it’s the most relaxed and enjoyable way to experience Everest.
To prepare, start cardio training (like walking, jogging, or swimming) at least 1–2 months in advance. Short hikes with a daypack can help build the stamina and leg strength needed for the trail.
How long is the Everest Luxury Trek?
The Everest Luxury Trek covers approximately 45 km (27.9 miles) in total, following the scenic route: Lukla – Monjo – Namche – Tengboche – and back to Lukla.
Designed for comfort and enjoyment, you’ll walk 6–10 km (3.7–6.2 miles) per day, with plenty of breaks, shorter walking hours, and time to relax. It’s a shorter and easier alternative to the full Everest Base Camp trek—perfect for those who want to experience Everest in style.
If I experience symptoms of altitude sickness, what should I do?
If you notice symptoms like headache, dizziness, nausea, or shortness of breath, tell your guide immediately. Our expert team is trained to respond quickly and will take the right steps—whether it’s rest, medication like Diamox, or descending to a lower elevation.
We also check your oxygen level daily using an oximeter for early detection.
That said, the Everest Luxury Trek is designed with a safe, gradual pace and lower elevations, making the risk of altitude sickness very minimal. With comfortable lodges, shorter hiking days, and proper acclimatization, you’ll enjoy the journey without worry.
What is the best time for the Everest Comfort Trek package?
The Everest Comfort Trek package can be done throughout the year, but for the best overall experience, we recommend spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November). These seasons offer clear skies, stable weather, and stunning mountain views.
While winter and monsoon treks are possible, they come with challenges like snow or rain. Choosing the right season ensures a safer, more comfortable, and truly rewarding journey.
How can I be confident in knowing I am fit to do the Everest trek?
You should have a physical health examination before going on the Everest if you are unsure about your physical condition. If you suffer from serious health problems that impact your breathing, coordination, balance, or other functions, you must consult your physician and get feedback.
Preparation
What can I expect on the Everest Luxury Trek?
This trek is designed for luxury travelers who value top-tier comfort. You’ll stay in 5-star hotels in Kathmandu and the best luxury lodges in the Everest region, offering heated rooms, electric blankets, en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, and Wi-Fi.
For meals, expect freshly prepared, high-quality dishes served with care—perfect for those who are particular about food standards.
If you’re fussy about accommodation or dining, this is the most comfortable and refined way to experience the Everest region.
What immunizations are necessary for the Everest Luxury Trek?
No vaccinations are required to join the Everest Luxury Trek. However, if you’d like to take extra precautions, you may refer to CDC or consult your doctor for recommended travel vaccinations. Please inform us of any existing medical conditions when booking.
What safety measures are adopted by Nepal Hiking Team during the trek?
At Nepal Hiking Team, your safety is our top priority. All our lead guides are professionally trained in First Aid and altitude response, and they monitor your condition throughout the trek.
We carry a comprehensive First Aid kit, oximeter, essential medications, and have emergency evacuation plans in place. If needed, our team can quickly arrange descent or coordinate a helicopter evacuation to ensure your well-being at all times.
Is it necessary for me to carry a First Aid kit?
No, it's not necessary to bring a full First Aid kit. Our guides carry a complete medical kit, including an oximeter and essential first-aid medications. However, if you take any personal medication, please make sure to bring it with you.
Packing List
What size should my daypack be, and how much weight can the porter carry?
We recommend bringing a 20–22-liter daypack to carry 3–4 kg of essentials like water, phone, wallet, camera, sunscreen, and other valuables needed during the day.
Your main luggage will be carried by a porter, with one porter assigned for every two trekkers, carrying a combined maximum of 25 kg. Please pack your trekking gear accordingly to stay within this limit.
What kind of footwear is necessary for the trek?
We recommend bringing well-fitted hiking boots with good ankle support. Be sure to break them in before the trek to avoid blisters and ensure all-day comfort.
Also, pack a pair of lightweight slippers for use at the lodges.
Note: If you're trekking during the winter season, make sure your boots are compatible with microspikes or crampons for added safety on snow or ice.
What should I pack for my trek?
Pack seasonally appropriate clothing and keep it light—this is a short trek, so there’s no need to overpack. Essentials include a hiking jacket, trekking pants or trousers, quick-dry shirts, a warm layer, and a good pair of hiking boots.
Also, pack enough undergarments, as laundry service is available in Namche, but limited beyond that.
For a complete list, please refer to our Equipment Checklist to ensure you're well-prepared without carrying unnecessary items.
Eligibility
I’m a solo traveler—how much extra does this package cost?
The Everest Luxury Trek is available for solo travelers, but the cost is slightly higher since our listed price is based on a minimum of two people to keep the rate lower.
To receive the updated solo rate, please contact us via email or WhatsApp with your preferred travel dates. We’ll be happy to assist you.
Lukla flight information
Do I get a direct flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and back?
Direct flights between Kathmandu and Lukla are available only during the low season. If you book your trek during off-peak months, you may fly directly from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu.
However, during peak trekking seasons—from late March to mid-May and late September to late November—all flights operate via Ramechhap (Manthali) Airport due to heavy air traffic at TIA.
Ramechhap is about 132 kilometers from Kathmandu and requires a 5-hour drive. We arrange early morning transport from Kathmandu to Ramechhap to ensure timely check-in and smooth flight operation during these busy months.
If the flight to Lukla gets canceled or delayed, what are the options?
If your flight to Lukla is canceled or delayed, you have two options. You can wait and fly the next morning, if the weather permits, which will use the reserve day planned at the end of the trek.
Alternatively, you can take a shared helicopter, which costs an additional USD 450 per person, plus the cost of a seat for your guide. This helps you maintain your original trekking schedule without adjustments.
Since Lukla flights depend entirely on clear weather and can be affected at any time of year, we’ve included one buffer day in Kathmandu to manage such situations smoothly.
Can I take a helicopter instead of flying via Ramechhap? I want to avoid the drive.
Yes, you can upgrade to a shared helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla or vice versa. The cost is approximately USD 450 per person one way, after adjusting for the regular flight ticket, plus the cost of the guide’s seat.
This option lets you avoid the long drive to Ramechhap and fly directly—advance booking is required.
What is the weight allowed on the Lukla flight?
The total baggage allowance for the Lukla flight is 15 kg per passenger, including both your duffel bag (carried by the porter) and your daypack.
Customization
Why Choose Luxury Everest View Trek?

You’ll enjoy scenic flights, deluxe accommodations, and authentic Sherpa hospitality along the way. So why not choose this trek and comfortably experience Everest?
Is the Everest Luxury Trek a private or group tour? Can I customize it?
The Everest Luxury Trek is offered as a private trip only—there are no fixed group departures. This allows us to provide a smoother, more personalized experience, tailored to your pace and preferences.
You can customize the itinerary based on your travel dates, interests, and needs, ensuring maximum comfort and flexibility throughout your journey.
Can I extend the trek if I want to stay longer in the mountains?
Yes, it’s possible to extend your trek if you wish to spend an extra day in the mountains. Since this package includes exclusive luxury lodges that are often booked in advance, extensions are subject to availability at the time.
We’ll do our best to accommodate your request, and any additional cost will vary based on the lodge rates and services for the added day.

A great time in the Himalayas!
The Short Everest Trek with cultural tours was perfect for me and my friend because we had a limited time in Nepal because of our deadline. We were still able to enjoy the mountains with the Short Everest Trek and the experience was just amazing! From our first commutation with Mr. Ganga, we knew that we would be fine doing the trek because he was very prompt with the responses and very reassuring. Narayan was our guide and he was perfect at his work as well. The schedule was followed to the tee and fortunately, we did not have any delays during the Lukla return flight either. Everything worked out extremely well, and we are both very happy with the experience. We got good transport to the airport, the guesthouses were good, we enjoyed our meals, the village people were very friendly, the mountain sceneries from the villages were also amazing, everything was done in the most professional way and we had the best time of our lives! Nepal Hiking Team is the best!
