Nepal Hiking Team is a dependable and trustworthy government-registered trekking company in Nepal dedicated to offering the best possible services to our customers. With an objective of meliorating the tourism sector of the country, much effort is put into making our rendering of services at a level that exceeds the rest. Our customer’s satisfaction and happiness is our foremost priority.

Go through our terms and conditions carefully before booking your trip with us! These terms and conditions are effective from the date you booked the trip us:


For Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan Tours. A photocopy of your passport and a 20% deposit of the total cost of the trip should be provided to us by you while booking the trip. The 20% deposit amount is non-refundable once you have made the down payment of the trip. The deposit will be considered as trip cancellation fee if you cancel your trip in any day after booking the trip with us.

The remaining amount can be paid upon your arrival in Kathmandu before you set out for your trek/tour.

Note: In case of Bhutan and Tibet tours, you need to pay the balance amount 20 days prior to your departure date if you intend to fly to those countries directly. We reserve our right to cancel your trip if you could not make your payment within our stipulated time.

Note: Bank service charges related to submitting a deposit are the responsibility of the client. For Bank Transfers, Your invoice confirmation will be sent once we verify receiving the funds. The cost of the transfer of the money via the central bank or any middle bank will not be covered by us; those are not affiliated to the total amount that you would pay to us for the tour.

Note: For credit card payments, 3.5% extra will be levied to you for a credit card processing fee.


All of the Nepal, China and Bhutan tours are conducted under the strict rules and regulations of the tourism board of the respective country. We are not liable for any changes or cancellations of the trip under unavoidable circumstances like change in the rules and regulations of country, any government restrictions, natural disasters, political instability, cancellations of flights, delays, sickness or accidents, breakdown of vehicles, etc. Any extra cost incurred due to such circumstances shall have to be borne by the clients themselves. Therefore, travel insurance is highly recommended.


We even accept last minute booking. You can book a trip to Nepal 3 days prior to the trip departure dates. However, last minute bookings may not be acceptable in case of Bhutan or Tibet trip.


A written notice should be sent to us if you are unable to travel on the allocated days due to any reason.

TRIP POSTPONE FEE: In case of postpone of Nepal tour, minimum USD 150.00 will be charged as a current trip cancellation charge and the remaining amount will be transferred for the postponed trip. 

FREE TRIP POSTPONE: After confirmation of the trip, due to the COVID-19, if you are unable to travel on the allocated dates, you can postpone the trip to later dates whichever seems safe and suitable for you to travel again. You can choose any dates that is convenient for you and travel whenever you want. We are offering our clients a trip postpone without applying any charge.


In the event that you cancel your trek, please be informed that, the 20% deposit you made upon booking the trip with us will be considered as trip cancellation fee.

And if you have paid more than the trip deposit then we shall reduce the 20% trip deposit from that amount and remaining balance will be refunded to you via original payment method.

And this policy is effectively applicable right after you confirmed your booking with us. It does not matter whether you intend to cancel your trip before 30 days or less than 30 days prior to your trip departure date, 20% trip deposit is non-refundable.


The trip deposit you made for any trip of Bhutan and Tibet will be considered as trip cancellation fee. We are unable to offer trip postpone for any trip of Bhutan and Tibet.


We are not liable for any refunds in case of any incomplete tour, trek or expedition whatever the reason from customer’s side.


If your trip gets cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances like natural disasters, war or unfavorable climatic conditions, we will arrange another trip for you. So even if your trip won’t be the one you had chosen, your money will not go in vain.


We reserve our rights to change the price under various circumstances. Though our actions will be reasonable, like in case of circumstances such as drastic changes in the exchange rate, inflations or government actions, we are not liable to answer anyone for our actions.


It is mandatory to have a comprehensive travel insurance package to all our clients to join any of our adventures. The insurance must cover all the medical expenses, personal accidents, emergency evacuations, trip cancellations, loss of gears and natural calamity, theft of or damage to baggage and personal effects.


Flight delays and cancellation are likely to happen often during bad weather conditions in remote areas, particularly in the Everest region, the Annapurna region, Dolpo, Simikot and Jumla region. Therefore, it is advisable to carry some extra money to buy food and accommodations in case of delays. NHT will not be responsible for any of the additional expenses. Therefore, please plan accordingly.


In case you commit any unlawful act during your tour and you are compelled to leave Nepal, NHT is not liable for any kind of refunds.


Our terms and conditions are applicable only if you book your trip with us directly. If you book your trip with us through any agents or third party, you shall be liable to their terms and conditions.
