Knowledgeable, experienced, humble, and polite - these are the words that clients (whom Surya has guided) use to describe Surya Lama. Hailing from Dhading Besi, Surya started working as a trekking guide since the year 2007.
In his long career spanning more than a decade, he has trekked through all the popular trekking routes in Nepal – Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, Upper Mustang, Helambu, Rolwaling Kanchenjunga, etc.
Friendly and good-natured, Surya Gurung has been a valuable member of the Nepal Hiking Team since 2017.
