I did a lot of research into who I should book the EBC trek with and decided to go with this company in the end. I emailed Ganga several times to get clarification on various things, as I was travelling as a solo female trekker. He always responded promptly to all my queries. So, booking the trek with them was a very easy decision for me and was easily done online.
On arriving in Kathmandu, I was picked up from the airport straightaway and taken to the Woodapple Hotel. The staff there were very sweet and welcoming. I was also met there by Ganga.
I met the other members of the group doing the trek with me the following morning for the debrief. We also met our guide, Ram.
Overall, the trek was absolutely amazing! There are no words to describe everything you see and experience — you just have to do it!
Ram, our guide, was superb — fun, knowledgeable, and always very caring. He definitely helped me get through the trek! I had a sickness bug on one of the trekking days, and I have to say I was looked after very well by Ram and the assistant guide, Manu, throughout. I couldn’t thank them enough. Thankfully, I recovered after 24 hours and was able to continue the trek.
The porters were equally incredible people — always smiling and very helpful. They do an amazing job! A huge thanks to them also!
I would highly recommend the Nepal Hiking Team for a great, fun, personable, and caring experience for the EBC trek!
I’m sure their service would be equally excellent for other treks as well. I would definitely love to return to Nepal for more trekking adventures in the future!
