The Everest Base Camp Trek is one the most recommended trekking package out there, and as I had several choices to undergo trekking for the very first time in Nepal, I also chose the EBC Trek with NHT. While I arrived in Kathmandu, I was greeted very warmly by my guide, Bal Kumar. With good and friendly embraces, he offered me a garland of flowers and then I was transferred to my Hotel in Thamel. Thamel also is quite fascinating I must concur. The very next day, I was given a wonderful tour of the Kathmandu Valley and many of its sites. I visited the temples and the stupas. It was all very enchanting. The capital is quite crowded on some places, but on others, it’s lovely. Preparing for my trek to Everest started after that. Bal Kumar made sure that I had all of the equipment. (I was given sleeping bags and Down Jackets for complimentary use by NHT, which was pretty good of them to do). Starting off the trek, I was at Lukla and then I started my hour’s long hike. The landscape is beautiful and trekking on the beautiful trails while the atmosphere is just lovely and serene and quite vibrant truly is like heaven. The rivers and the trees and the long suspension bridges all seems to be alive. The villages and the settlements on the deep locations of the mountains and the forests were even more so. I met a lot of trekkers and other travelers as well. It was such a joyful affair. This is the kind of experience everybody should have. Just trekking to the world’s tallest mountain with nature and good people, I could not be more happier! I was extremely satisfied with the services of my travel agency as well, Nepal Hiking Team! They delivered their services and I did not have to worry about anything at all throughout my trekking journey. For the price that I had paid, the services of food and meal and accommodations and transportations and the rest were all covered adequately in my opinion. The sights of the mountains were absolutely grand as well. The emergence of the snowy mountain peaks in the distance while I was on the trail literally lifted my spirits! This is the best trekking package for beginners like me! I tremendously enjoyed my time with NHT trekking!!
