Trip Overview

Do you ever feel curious about what lies in the much-talked-about Everest region? Yes, we know you have heard of the mighty mountains, glistening rivers, and the alpine forests. The vibrant settings of the cultural villages and the tightly-knit communes of Sherpas add to the Everest experience. Our Short Everest Trek that runs for seven days is prepared for travelers who want to explore the Khumbu region but have fewer days to travel. A trip designed explicitly for the travelers who have problems acclimatizing but want to visit the area once in their lifetime. The Short Everest trek takes you to the Everest region and covers much of your Everest experience. The tour that begins in Lukla takes you across dense green forests and beautiful panoramic settings in an ideal, less strainful trek.

One of the major highlights of the Short Everest Trek is our acclimatization in the vibrant Namche Bazaar. We hike up to the Everest View Hotels and witness many neighboring Mount Everest peaks. To name a few, in this journey, you will see the range that covers Mr. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, accompanied by Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Thamserku, et cetera. You will be hiking up to the hotel located at the highest altitude in the world; The Everest View Hotel. Our journey of the trek continues as we visit the local settlements of Khumjung/Khunde. To observe the valley’s fine arts and culture, we make a short trip to the Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo gallery. We then travel further to trekking up to the Dudh Kosi River and catch a flight to Lukla as we plan our return to Kathmandu.

Overall, this is a relaxed, less tiring journey and aims to give the travelers some of the major highlights of the province. For instance, some trekkers will want to dig into the area but are not keen on exhausting themselves. If you are one of those people who want to tap into the beauty of the Everest region minus the hassles of the base camp, then the Short Everest Trek might be the answer.  We descend to the beautiful rivers and enter the iconic Sagarmatha National Park via Monjo. Our trip to villages like Monjo and Jorsale is another exciting part of the outing. Hence, we think this tour might serve you in natural bio-diversity, proper relaxation, beautiful mountain views, the residing arts, and culture. But most importantly, even without the hike to base camp, it will not deprive you of the true Everest essence!

The trip is for people with instilled adventure spirits and requires little physical training. Our Short Everest Trek is one of the more accessible options of the Everest Region Trek; while you are on this trek, you do not have to worry about the altitude sickness that comes with the journey of an Everest Base Camp Trek.

Jorrel Hill Chang, United State of America We took short Everest trek package because we had a little time in Nepal. The time limit caused us to make the trip a bit short, but the customization of the itinerary by the staffs at the agency really helped me to fulfill my dream of trekking to Everest into a reality. I really recommend Nepal Hiking team because they were extremely and profoundly effective in their deals and the total price of the package was also arranged by them, which was super convenient for us! The trek itself was amazing, and simply wonderful. I loved the sceneries, and the wonderful natural surroundings that the place has. I loved visiting the religious gumbas, and the dainty colorful prayer flags at every tree btanch and the soires of the monasteries were such a lovely sight. The topography of the whole place was so different; I had never experienced anything quite like that anywhere else. The people and their lifestyles were all also so different; it was quite frankly, humbling to see. The accommodations that we stayed at, the little guesthouses and lodges up in the snow of the mountains were brilliant. I loved my experiences of waking up early in the morning, and then having my breakfast on the terraces of the tea houses overlooking the beautiful and serene Himalayan rages, it was heaven! Nepal Hiking Team took care of everything, and as a result, I ended up having a marvelous time, and I really would say to everyone that you better go with Nepal Hiking Team because they really deliver on their services!
Jaime, United States of America I did the Everest Base Camp tours with Nepal Hiking Team in October this year, and it was the most fantastic moment of my life! Prakash picked us up at the airport with marigold and silk scarves garlands, which was a very touching hospitable Nepali welcome. Then, as we were driven to the hotel, he explained our program to us about the Everest Base Camp. The sightseeing tour around Kathmandu Valley was very insightful as well. I had the valley tour before starting the trek to Everest's base camp. The heritage sights in Kathmandu and the durbar squares were excellent to look at. The valley of Kathmandu, or the city more like, was crowded with people, and the area around Thamel, where we had our hotel’s location as well, was filled with so many shops at every corner of the street and small temples, it was bizarre! Trek ten started with the flight to Lukla, and the trekking journey to Everest's base camp was beautiful! The many tiny villages and the settlements along the trail were different from the crowded Kathmandu and provided a drastic change in scenery from the city. The villages had the feeling of being so far away from all the busyness of the city, and the people seemed much calmer and peaceful there. The lifestyle of the people in those village areas was genuinely inspiring, and I enjoyed my time there a lot. The guesthouses and the tiny lodges that we were accommodated in were comfortable, and the people were hospitable. In fact, the higher we trekked, the more hospitable they were! Prakash then proceeded to guide us throughout the trekking journey, and the sceneries of the mountains and the villages were everything I had imagined it would be. The settlement at Namche was beautiful, and we had a look around the Art Gallery the Sherpa Culture Museum as well. The sights of the mountains were extraordinary! Nepal Hiking Team managed everything, and all of the transactions and the arrangements were made skillfully. The guide, Mr. Prakash Sapkota, was also beneficial. The head office staff were also available all the time to me, which was super convenient. I loved my vacation in Nepal, climbing the Everest Base Camp. Nepal Hiking Team did an outstanding and satisfactory job accompanying me in my journey. The trek was also done at a reasonable price, and I would recommend Nepal Hiking Team to people.
Hareth Alsaadi, Phillipines I went for Everest base camp trip by mid-Dec 2021. I was a little worried as I never went trekking in my entire life.. however, i did a lot of research and came across Nepal Hiking Team so I decided after much thought to go with them Initially, I was in contact with Ganga the CEO of the company... i was highly satisfied with his interaction and communication with me right from the beginning.. i had so many questions and concerns regarding the trip and he was able to guide me and answer me all my inquiries... the on-boarding process was smooth and easy.. when i arrived in Nepal I found everything ready starting from the person picking me up from the airport, the hotel, some equipment for the trek, full introductory meeting on what to expect from the journey, all ground transportation, and even before i left Nepal after the trek.. a PCR staff was provided and came to my hotel... As for my trekking guide Prakash. i am truly happy that i had him as my guide.. a very spectacular human being.. he was more than a guide.. he was a great companion as well.. he ensured that i was having a good time.. continuously shared his expertise of mountains, Sherpa people, and Nepalese culture.. he always went the extra mile to support me... even at days when it was tough for me to continue due to altitude sickness.. he encouraged me and inspired me not to give up on this lifetime journey.. he always puts health and safety first.. Despite all the challenges of Everest Base Camp trek.. but i am very glad i did it... and i did it with an excellent group of people.. Nepal Hiking Team.. i highly recommend them for anyone intends to go trekking in Nepal. Read this review on trip advisor (click here)
Peter, United States of America My friend and I recently spent 2 weeks in Nepal, guided by the Nepal Hiking Team. Our original trek was canceled by an international company,  and the Nepal Hiking Team stepped in flawlessly. Ganga answered all of our questions, had our safety as his top concern always, was flexible, and was gracious with his hospitality. From Kathmandu, Pokhara, to the various tea villages, all the way to ABC, our Nepal Hiking Team was phenomenal. Our guide Arjun and porter Prem were first class, helping us navigate and learn about the terrain, giving us sage advice, and also making sure we had a great time (thanks for the wine!). I felt truly connected with them and it was hard to leave! A massive thank you to the entire team. Let's summit one of those monsters together soon!
William Belue, USA Nepal Hiking was incredible starting with the airport pick up all the way to drop off at the end of the trip. I had a scenario in which the airline lost my luggage and NHT arrange for my boots to be delivered via helicopter. This alone speaks to the level of care they provide their clients. Our guide, Bal, was one of the most knowledgeable people I’ve had the opportunity to meet and his attention to detail truly made this experience for me. The accommodations, food, gear, etc all blew my expectations out of the water. If you are looking for a guided Nepal experience, please look no further. I met other trekkers along my journey who were paying more and receiving less. This trip was a surprise birthday present and I am already planning my next trip back.
