Initiate an epic journey with your family together to Nagarkot. A scenic drive from Kathmandu with a glimpse of Ganesh Himal from your window pane will take you to Sundarijal. From this point, you and your family will start your trekking journey. Packing your bags, you walk through the stone-paved staircase to Shivapuri National Park. We ascend through the forest until we reach a point from where we begin to see the mountains in front of us. Then we descend along a lush trail with views of mountains on our side. From Chisapani, we walk along a straight path through dense forests and open up to villages uphill and downhill until we reach Nagarkot. Once in Nagarkot, you can enjoy the views of the majestic mountains with your family together.

After spending some time together in the backdrop of the Himalayas, we drive towards Chitwan National Park for wildlife exploration. Enjoy a family ride on an elephant and encounter some wild animals. With its beautiful location, views, and animals, the national park can be an excellent destination for building memories and photographs.

We have just returned from an incredible two weeks in Nepal, and a lot of that praise goes to Nepal Hiking Team. It was our first time in Nepal (in fact, our first in Asia in general), so the experience was always going to be very novel and strange for

us, but from the off NHT made the transition into a different culture so smooth and organic that we felt fully comfortable from the off.

A few months before we left, I was in contact with Ganga, the main man at NHT. He is incredibly on the ball and organized, often replaying my inane queries in minutes with clear, concise answers which put my mind at ease. We had planned to walk to Annapurna Base Camp, and Ganga helped in customizing our plan to add in an extra night in the city of Pokhara, coincidentally during Nepalese New Year, which led to a very memorable evening.

We spent our first day in Kathmandu touring around a range of Hindu and Buddhist temples with our guide Kumar whose relaxed and knowledgeable approach made our first day in a chaotic city much more comprehensible and enjoyable.

For the trek itself, we were put into the very capable hands of our guide, Dhurba, and our porter, Sagar. Dhurba was brilliant throughout, sorting us hotel rooms with wonderful views (I'll never forget the south face of Dhaulagiri from our top floor hotel room in Ghorepani) and assisting us with daily food orders (breakfast, lunch and dinner were provided for most of the trek) and just generally being a fantastic person to be around. We learned a lot about Nepalese customs, flora, fauna and, importantly for us, exactly which mountains we were looking at. Dhurba in general, was a treat to be around and we would have no hesitation in asking for him when we return to Nepal.

Just returning from a very memorable 7-day Khopra Ridge circuit trek organized with Nepal Hiking Team which we took with our two teenage sons 17 and 19 years old. Summary - No need to look further for another trekking company!

In my opinion, a top

intro to hiking in Nepal with breathtaking up-close views of both the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges on the tourist „road less traveled“. You will see and experience the beauty of Nepalese high altitude trekking at up to 3700m, which made altitude sickness no issue for our family. The trek is started on easy daily sections until followed by moderate hiking days which lead to the treks highlighting Dobato with Mulde peak and Khopra community lodge. We were walking through mountain forests with richly blossoming rhododendron trees and through quaint alpine communities. This a definitive contrast to Ghorepani Poonhill which you touch on the last day of the trek with many more people going that route. TIP: If you want more challenge ask for (weather permitting) inclusion of either Hidden Lake or up Khopra Ridge which will take you over 4000m.

Our guide Uttam, assistant guide Bipen, and the porters Anish and Sabin cared for us all along the way and provided for a most pleasant, fun cultural experience. They helped and pampered. Uttam kept us safe all along and well in the range of our physical abilities with breaks, organizing and managing our small company, and briefing and debriefing each day. It’s also an up-close look into the friendly culture of the Nepalese with singing, dancing, freshly cooked meals, and just nice conversation to learn about the people and how they live.

All accommodations are lodges clean, with good standard food, clean, higher up simple, and don’t expect a hot shower every day in these regions.

Ganga and Bilaram at the head offices make planning easy with appropriate suggestions, clear communication, and swift responses when questions arise or adjustments need to be made. You can expect full service from planning to arrival to the actual trek to departure. The brief and debrief before and after each trek so not only your experience is explained but they also look for feedback in order to improve the service.

An overall eight thumbs up from our family!!!!

We are just back (in Australia) from 3 weeks in Nepal. The itinerary was organized by The Nepal Hiking Team, a Nepal-based company recommended to us by friends in Brisbane. And what a good recommendation it was! The company is professional, efficient,

and flexible - exactly what one hopes for. During the 3 weeks, we did a 10-day trek, visited Pokhara and Chitwan National Park and spent a few days in Kathmandu. Ganga and his team organized the itinerary (tweaked it as required), booked the hotels, organised the transport (private driver). All worked very smoothly.

The highlight of the trip was the Langtang Heritage Trail, which included 5 days trekking between villages at an altitude of ~2500m and then joining the Langtang Valley trail. For the trek we were joined by a friend from Australia, and had a guide (Puru, more on him later) and 2 porters. The trek was challenging, at least for us with an average age of 60, but extremely rewarding. Puru (short for Purusottam) was superb as a guide and source of information. He paced each days perfectly and no effort was spared to maximise our enjoyment and comfort. If/when required, he took over the kitchen of the various places we stayed at, to cook us a hearty breakfast or tasty Dal Bhat for lunch. He also expertly guided us on the very challenging climb up (+ down!) the 5000m high Tserko Ri mountain on our "rest day".

Overall, this was a most satisfying introduction to Nepal for us and we can fully recommend the Nepal Hiking Team.

I recently completed hiking through the Khumbu Region of Nepal, and from start to finish I highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team.

Ganga the owner of the company was very nice and patient with all my needs and requests.

He answered every email, and

fulfilled all my requests regarding my expectations.

My Guide Vishma bhatta was outstanding throughout my Trek, very warm and kind, and made sure I was very well looked after.

Vishma is very knowledgeable and well spoken, he speaks English very well and always made sure I was comfortable and trekked at a speed that is suited to me.

I got Altitude Sickness around Renjo La and Gokyo, this is where a good guide comes into play.

I was in a very bad way, and Vishma looked after me 24hrs non stop during my worst illness I have felt.

He made sure I was warm and comfortable, ensured I at least had some soup when my appetite was lost, and proceeded to change course and trek back to lower altitudes.

Without Vishma I would’ve been in very serious trouble.

After I recovered I continued my trek and Visma was very flexible with my itinerary.

I highly recommend Vishma when you book with Nepal Hiking Team, make sure you request him.

I had Naresh who was my Porter, and a stronger porter you will not find, always had a smile on his face and always so friendly.

I cannot say enough about Nepal Hiking Team and it’s members.

I highly recommend them for your next trekking experience in Nepal.
