Trip Overview

Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal in itself is a city of wonders! The chaotic streets, crowds, people and narrow streets in the city will frighten you for a while but soon you will know that it is how life goes in here. The temples, stupas and other religious spots that you will encounter at each corner of every street will let you know why Kathmandu is called the city of temples. Amidst the crowded city lies an artistic palace built in ancient reign of Malla kings which is a must visit place of Kathmandu City Tour. Lying in the heart of Kathmandu city, the palace is a true demonstration of fine art, culture, architecture and designs. The beautifully sculptured designs in the stones, buildings, temples, pillars and windows are a true inspiration.

Kathmandu City Tour shares all the specialties of Kathmandu city with you; mainly the UNESCO listed heritage sites namely Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath stupa, Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.  Swayambhunath stupa is a popular site for all the Buddhist pilgrims. Covering a large area, Swayambhunath consists of large Buddha statues, monasteries and the main part is a white dome and golden spire placed upon it that lies on a top of the hill. From the top, you can view whole Kathmandu city at once. Being a home to many monkeys, the stupa is also known as a monkey temple. Boudhanath stupa is another attraction that has similar white dome and golden spire like of Swayambhunath, however, the stupa of Boudhanath is considered as the largest stupa in the world. Similarly, Pashupatinath temple is the oldest temple of Lord Shiva that holds high value amongst the Hindu pilgrims.

Next on charts is Bhaktapur Durbar square which is also a grand palace built by Malla kings during their reign. The major attraction is the durbar square consists of fifty five windows palace, golden gate, Taleju temple, Nyatapol temple, national art gallery and many more. Moving on to next Durbar Square is Patan Durbar Square. The golden gate, the golden window, Taleju temple, Krishna Mandir, Bhangalamukhi temple and Sundari chowk are the major attractions here.

Apart from these UNESCO listed sites, magnificence of Himalayas is an important view that is not to be missed when it comes to your visit in Nepal. Therefore, Kathmandu valley city tour takes you to Nagarkot, a popular vantage point near Kathmandu for mountain views. Get the panoramic views of mountains like Annapurna range, Langtang range, Dhaulagiri Himal, Gaurishankar Himal, Ganesh Himal, etc. on a clear day as you stand tall on the view tower. Endeavour this awesome blend of culture and nature with Nepal hiking Team!

Hareth Alsaadi, Phillipines I went for Everest base camp trip by mid-Dec 2021. I was a little worried as I never went trekking in my entire life.. however, i did a lot of research and came across Nepal Hiking Team so I decided after much thought to go with them Initially, I was in contact with Ganga the CEO of the company... i was highly satisfied with his interaction and communication with me right from the beginning.. i had so many questions and concerns regarding the trip and he was able to guide me and answer me all my inquiries... the on-boarding process was smooth and easy.. when i arrived in Nepal I found everything ready starting from the person picking me up from the airport, the hotel, some equipment for the trek, full introductory meeting on what to expect from the journey, all ground transportation, and even before i left Nepal after the trek.. a PCR staff was provided and came to my hotel... As for my trekking guide Prakash. i am truly happy that i had him as my guide.. a very spectacular human being.. he was more than a guide.. he was a great companion as well.. he ensured that i was having a good time.. continuously shared his expertise of mountains, Sherpa people, and Nepalese culture.. he always went the extra mile to support me... even at days when it was tough for me to continue due to altitude sickness.. he encouraged me and inspired me not to give up on this lifetime journey.. he always puts health and safety first.. Despite all the challenges of Everest Base Camp trek.. but i am very glad i did it... and i did it with an excellent group of people.. Nepal Hiking Team.. i highly recommend them for anyone intends to go trekking in Nepal. Read this review on trip advisor (click here)
Peter, United States of America My friend and I recently spent 2 weeks in Nepal, guided by the Nepal Hiking Team. Our original trek was canceled by an international company,  and the Nepal Hiking Team stepped in flawlessly. Ganga answered all of our questions, had our safety as his top concern always, was flexible, and was gracious with his hospitality. From Kathmandu, Pokhara, to the various tea villages, all the way to ABC, our Nepal Hiking Team was phenomenal. Our guide Arjun and porter Prem were first class, helping us navigate and learn about the terrain, giving us sage advice, and also making sure we had a great time (thanks for the wine!). I felt truly connected with them and it was hard to leave! A massive thank you to the entire team. Let's summit one of those monsters together soon!
William Belue, USA Nepal Hiking was incredible starting with the airport pick up all the way to drop off at the end of the trip. I had a scenario in which the airline lost my luggage and NHT arrange for my boots to be delivered via helicopter. This alone speaks to the level of care they provide their clients. Our guide, Bal, was one of the most knowledgeable people I’ve had the opportunity to meet and his attention to detail truly made this experience for me. The accommodations, food, gear, etc all blew my expectations out of the water. If you are looking for a guided Nepal experience, please look no further. I met other trekkers along my journey who were paying more and receiving less. This trip was a surprise birthday present and I am already planning my next trip back. Ahmed, USA Joined recently for an Everest Base Camp tour and it was simply spectacular! The team was well equipped with all logistics and planning and Ganga did a fantastic job with communication before and during the trip too. As for the trip itself, it far exceeded expectations as we got lucky with great clear weather and really enjoying our hiking. Our tour guide Bal was excellent as he had a lot of previous experience, very knowledgeable, friendly, and a fun person. The accommodations and food were good too. Overall I would highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team to others. Note: Read this review on Tripadvisor (Click here)
Dave, USA Had a truly great time in the mountains with the Nepal Hiking Team. Arrived from the Pacific Northwest with my boomer mom to trek to Everest Base Camp. (Made it.) Our group included four other ladies who’d met in college and were reconnecting. Was tough going at times but the NHT crew led us well. Our guides and porters were professional, kind, generous, and attentive. Their work was difficult—carrying our extra stuff, monitoring our conditions as we gained altitude, maintaining morale if/when it flagged, teaching us about Nepali and Sherpa culture, and showing us the way—and they all performed legendarily. Ganga and Raj put a lot of thought into making our trek enjoyable. They took great care of my mom and were very proactive with those who faced any altitude-related issues. I’m no world traveler or experienced backpacker, but this trip felt particularly fun and special. It awakened in me a far greater curiosity for travel. The mountain experience—organized by Ganga and led by Raj and his team of guides and porters—will be a cherished memory. Our NHT crew were all good people. I enjoyed their company and guidance immensely. We fly home this evening from Kathmandu and I’m already excited to return with friends, family, or solo. I look forward to trekking with NHT, Ganga, and Raj again. Read this review on Tripadvisor.
