Day 01 - Arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu

You may arrive anytime at the Tribhuwan International Airport Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by one of Nepal Hiking Team’s representatives. He will help you get transferred to your hotel. He will also explain the plans and programs to you. You may check-into your hotel and relax for the remainder of time.

Overnight stay at the Dwarika Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02 - Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding, Duration: 30 minutes flight and 3 hours trekking

You will have an early transfer to the airport for your Lukla flight. The flight to Lukla is a lifetime experience in itself. The Lukla airport lies atop a hill and is surrounded with amazing green rolling hills. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes to reach Lukla. You can view mountains on the flight as well. When you arrive at Lukla, you can immediately feel the difference in the air, as the mountain air at Lukla is a lot more crisp and fresh. From Lukla, you will trek to Phakding. As you make your way towards Phakding, you can view majestic sight of the Kusum Kangraru Mountain. From Lukla, the trekking trail slowly moves towards the Cheplung Village. View of the sacred Mount Khumbila from the village at Cheplung is beautiful. From there, a gradual walk downwards leads to the village of Phakding.  The Kusum Kangraru is a sacred peak that is held in religious regards by the Sherpa people. As such, it has not been climbed yet.  Phakding is also a beautiful mountain village that has been enlisted under the UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site under the Sagarmatha National Park. There are many guesthouses and lodges in Phakding that cater towards tourism in the Khumbu. Phakding is also usually the first stop for most trekkers who are doing any trips in the Khumbu.

Day 03 - Phakding to Namche Bazaar, Duration: 6 hours

After breakfast at Phakding, the trail further opens out to reach the celebrated mountain town of Namche Bazaar. En route to Namche, several smaller villages are crossed, like Jorsale and Monjo. Monjo lies north of Phakding and is the entry point of the Sagarmatha National Park. The trail ventures through the national park and finally arrives at Namche. You will be walking through the beautiful alpine woods of the park as you make your way towards the celebrated mountain town of Namche Bazaar. The Sagarmatha National Park is included in the Sacred Himalayan Landscape and is listed under the UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site. The national park is riddled with Blue Pine, Birch and Juniper Berries that are home to many endangered species of animals like Himalayan Thars, Langur Monkeys, the Musk Deer and Himalayan Black Bears. It contains upper catchments of the Dudh Koshi River and the Bhote Koshi River basin. Thick acreages of Pine and Cedar cover the lands and provide a pleasant atmosphere to trek through. Views of mountain peaks like the Ama Dablam, Tawache, Lhotse, Nuptse and many others can also be seen. Namche Bazaar, because of its strategic location, is the commercial hub of the Khumbu region. It is located on a mountain side and views of the Thamserku Peak and the Kongdi RI Himal from here are quite amazing. It is situated on a hill-side and has an amphitheatre-like appearance. Houses and lodges lie at terrace-like terrain at the village.

Day 04 - Namche to the Everest View Hotel

Today, you will make your way towards the famed Everest View Hotel. It lies just a few minutes away from Namche Bazaar. It is in fact, enlisted in the Guinness’ Book of World Records as the highest located Hotel in the world. From all of the hotel’s windows, you can get views of the Mount Everest and other peaks. It is a great place to stay and take in the beauty of the region. If you want, you can visit the Syangboche Airstrip as well. It is the highest located airstrip in the world and provides amazing views of the mountain peaks and of the Namche Village.

Day 05 - Heli Tours to Everest and back to Kathmandu

Today is an anticipated day of the trip as you will be having a helicopter ride over the Mount Everest Base Camp and the vantage point of Kalapatthar before making your way towards Kathmandu. The views of the landscape and of the mountains from the helicopter are quite brilliant. The magnificent sights of the Himalayas from the helicopter provide a new perspective on the Khumbu’s landscape. You can get amazing bird’s eye-view from the helicopter of mountain peaks like Mount Everest, the Tawache and Lhotse, Nuptse, the Ama Dablam and many others along with the view of the landscape that looks like a colorful carpet. As you arrive back at Kathmandu, you will be transferred back to your Hotel.

Day 06 - Depature from Kathmand/Farewell

Today, approximately three hours before your flight back, you will be transferred to the airport by one of Nepal Hiking Team’s representatives, and then you will depart.
