Best Times for the Trek
Are you ready for a journey to the heart of the Khumbu region, where the magnificence of the Himalayas awaits? Then, it's time to start planning your trek to Short Everest Trek!
When it comes to choosing the best time to go, you're in for a treat because the region offers two of the best seasons for trekking - spring and autumn.
Spring (March to May) is when the entire region comes alive with vibrant colors. The rhododendron forests, which line the trail, burst into full blossom, creating a breathtaking landscape. The weather is warm, and the skies are clear, making it the perfect time for trekking.
Summer (June to August) also offers a unique experience for the Short Everest Trek. During these months, the warmer weather and lush greenery provide a vibrant setting, though occasional monsoon rains can obscure views and make trails slippery. Additionally, flights to and from Lukla may face delays due to weather conditions.
Autumn (September to November) is another great time to visit the region. When the monsoon season ends, the clear skies offer excellent visibility of the surrounding peaks. The temperature is mild, making it comfortable for trekking.
The winter season (December to February) can be harsh, with cold temperatures and the possibility of flight cancellations due to poor weather conditions in Lukla. However, you can still opt for this trek if you can withstand the harsh weather. Trekking in the winter allows you to enjoy the Himalayas all to yourself.
So, mark your calendars and pack your bags because the best times to go for the Short Everest Trek are during the spring and autumn seasons.

Outstanding EBC experience
I had the great opportunity to join the Nepal Hiking Team and experience the two-week base camp Everest trekking during the last week of September and the first of October 2024.
Everything was great from the very first second I set foot in Nepal to the last moment of farewell at the airport. It was such a fulfilling and exciting experience, and this great time was only possible thanks to my guide, Ram and his assistant, Bishnu. They made this journey possible and doable, keeping the spirit high even in the most challenging moments.
There was not a single second where I and the rest of my group companions did not feel safe with them. They were handling everything with the best professionalism and resourcefulness, especially when the most unexpected, snowy conditions occurred.
Thanks a million for this lifetime experience.

EBC, end of September start of October.
The trek to Everest Base Camp was an unforgettable journey through some of the world's most breathtaking landscapes. The route takes you through traditional Sherpa villages and past ancient monasteries and offers stunning views of peaks like Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and, of course, Mount Everest itself.
My guide, Santosh, was incredible. I picked up a cough in KTM, and by Namche, I was fevering out, he would come and check on me and give me steam inhalation baths to clear my airways, he was amazing. His calm approach kept me going; he never lost confidence.
The trek's challenges - from the thin air at high altitude to the basic teahouse accommodations - are well worth it for the incredible experience. I completely recommend EBC to the Nepal Hiking Team, especially Santosh.

Wonderful team and guides for EBC treks
NHT is an excellent choice for anyone planning to trek to EBC or explore other trails in Nepal. Ganga ji and his team (including Prakash ji, Druba ji, and other guides) were knowledgeable, friendly, and managed our group of 20+ people with great efficiency. They provided plenty of information and supported everyone throughout the entire trek.
The team was especially helpful in making arrangements for some group members who had to turn back from Namche or Lobuche due to health issues. They handled helicopter rides and hotel bookings seamlessly. When Ramchep Airport closed due to bad weather and roadblocks, the team quickly arranged alternative flights from KTM to Lukla and ensured we got out of Kathmandu without a hitch.
Highly recommend NHT!

Great job !
The NHT team demonstrated exceptional professionalism and competence throughout our journey. There were several instances where things could have taken a wrong turn, but they always came up with effective solutions. In the end, everything worked out even better than we initially hoped.
A huge shoutout to Prakash for his calm and reliable leadership. Kudos to Dhruba for his endless positivity and optimism (along with his great leadership!). Sabine brought warmth and steady guidance to the trail, while Vishal’s youthful energy and amazing dance moves made the journey even more memorable.
This team created a fantastic experience through their hard work, unwavering positivity, and solid leadership.

Everest Cho La Pass Trek with Uttam & Nepal Hiking Team
I recently completed the Everest Chola Pass Trek with Nepal Hiking Team, and it was an unforgettable adventure. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and truly exceptional.
Our guide, Uttam, was outstanding. His knowledge of the region, its history, and the local culture was impressive and made each day of the trek enriching and educational. Uttam's professionalism and patience were remarkable, ensuring that we felt safe, informed, and well-taken care of throughout the journey. His friendly demeanor and genuine passion for the mountains added a special touch to the trek, making every moment enjoyable. We shared many laughs each day and always had something to smile about!
We were also incredibly fortunate to have Amar as our porter/Sherpa. Amar was an absolute pleasure to trek with; his strength and dedication were evident as he safely carried our bags across the challenging terrain. Beyond his physical capabilities, Amar's warm personality and helpful nature made him an integral part of our trekking experience.
The Everest Chola Pass Trek itself was breathtaking, with stunning landscapes, challenging passes, and awe-inspiring views. We decided to go the clockwise route enjoying Gokyo valley first before embarking on Cho La Pass and EBC. We had phenomenal views and a perfect weather window for hiking - even the snowy Cho La Pass terrain was enjoyable and made for a real Himalayan experience.
The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to acclimatize properly and enjoy each segment of the journey to its fullest. The support from Nepal Hiking Team was top-notch, from the accommodations to the meals, ensuring a comfortable and memorable adventure. The evening fruits after dinner were always a nice treat!
I highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team for anyone looking to embark on this incredible trek. Special thanks to Uttam and Amar for making our trek truly exceptional. Their dedication and hard work made all the difference, and I cannot recommend them enough for future trekkers.
