We had an incredible experience with Nepal Hiking Team. The company was very easy to work with ahead of time - they were responsive to questions and made it easy to customize our trip. Once in Nepal, they went above and beyond to make our trip comfortable, including setting up hotel reservations, taxi rides, etc.
The trek itself was an amazing experience. Our guide, Gokul, taught us so much about the region that we otherwise wouldn’t have learned, and was incredibly friendly and fun to be around. Gokul was very serious about ensuring the safety and comfort of our group while trekking. He also brought us to some spots that we otherwise would not have known to go to, including side trails and cultural locations.
Our porters, Basu and Deepesh, worked very hard throughout the trip to make it enjoyable for everyone. We all shared many laughs together and enjoyable conversations while trekking and in the guest houses.
I would recommend NHT and specifically Gokul, Basu and Deepesh to anyone who is looking to get the most out of a trek in Nepal.
We had an amazing time. The company was very quick to reply to our questions and were even able to change the dates of our trek last minute, do to some issues on our end. Our guide Gokul was fantastic and I would be happy to have him as a guide any time I am in Nepal. He was extremely friendly and genuine. Our porters ( Gaurab and Rajendra) worked very hard as well and always had positive energy. The only issues we had with the trek was underestimating how much bottled water costs as well as the itinerary we were given had some errors. We were unable to visit the Buddhist monastery as it closes after the morning but we were not made aware of this. The day we summited was the highlight of the trip but then we also had to hike another 3-4 hours to our beds for the night and if I did the trek again I would opt to stay closer. All in all, it was a fantastic time and I would not hesitate to use this company again as well as name request Gokul as my guide.
