• Another perfect trekking holiday

  I just got back from a trekking holiday in Nepal--did the Annapurna circuit and Nar Pho valley, and finished in Pokhara and Chitwan national park. Many thanks to Ganga and my guide Arjun for making everything smooth and extremely enjoyable. The scenery was superb and the weather one of the best I had in the high Himalayas.

• Upper Mustang Valley trek

  I had the incredible opportunity to embark on the Upper Mustang Valley trek as part of a research expedition with three fellow professors from a US university. Our purpose was twofold: to conduct research and also assess the feasibility of bringing students on future trips. During our time in Nepal, we undertook two treks, first exploring the Khumbu Valley and then venturing into the captivating Upper Mustang region.

  Throughout our entire journey, we were fortunate to have the exceptional support and guidance of the Nepal Hiking Team, led by the remarkable Ganga Raj Thapa. Even prior to our departure, they were instrumental in assisting us with numerous inquiries, diligently answering our emails, and helping us craft the perfect itinerary tailored to our specific interests.

  During the treks themselves, we were accompanied by two exceptional guides, Arjun and Prakash. Their extensive knowledge, thoughtfulness, and flexibility made our experience all the more enriching. As the days unfolded, they transformed from our guides into what we hope will be lifelong friends. Their warm and considerate nature ensured that we felt cared for every step of the way.

  The scenery along the Upper Mustang Valley trek was nothing short of awe-inspiring. However, it should be noted that the terrain presented its challenges, with steep paths and demanding hikes. On some days, we covered over 15 miles in a single day. Nevertheless, our guides were attuned to our capabilities, knowing when to encourage us to push our limits and when to allow us time to rest and regain our strength, often enjoying leisurely two-hour lunches amidst the captivating surroundings.

• Incredible Annapurna Circuit trek with Nepal Hiking Team

  I had the most incredible experience trekking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal with a group of five fellow Americans. Throughout our journey, we were fortunate to have Arjun as our guide from the Nepal Hiking Team, and he truly made a significant impact on our adventure.

  From the moment we arrived in Nepal, the Nepal Hiking Team impressed us with their exceptional service. They took care of every detail, ensuring that our trek went smoothly. The lodges where we stayed were cozy and provided a welcoming atmosphere after our long days of trekking. Nepal Hiking Team made sure the accommodations were clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed.

  Transportation was seamless, thanks to the team's meticulous planning. They arranged reliable and comfortable vehicles for our transfers, taking away any worries we had about reaching our starting point or returning to our hotel.

• AMAZING EXPERIENCE- 14-Day Langtang Gosaikunda Trek

  Our family of three booked the Langtang Valley Gosaikunda 14-day trek and it was a huge success. Ganga was so communicative and made us feel that the Nepal Hiking Team had us fully supported to venture out into the mountains of Nepal. It was great to meet Ganga and our wonderful guide, Arjun, the day prior to departing to discuss the itinerary so we were all on the same page.

  During the trek, our guide, Arjun, and our porters, Bashu and Kessab, made sure our safety and well-being were taken care of at all times. In addition, they formed a sweet relationship with our 9-year-old son and taught him a card game that was played at almost every meal and rest stop along the way. Our son loved every moment of the experience. We booked out trek in the “off-season” (June), and the timing could not have been better! The trek starts in the jungle paralleling the powerful Langtang River under a canopy of dense trees filled with birds and monkeys.

  The hikes were challenging but rewarding with frequent stops at teahouses for drinks and snacks. As the trek progressed, we gained elevation and entered into the mountains with fantastic views, cooler temps, wild flowers, and quaint villages in the upper sections of the valley. The days followed a wonderful rhythm of waking early and getting started so we could trek in the clear, morning sky before the afternoon clouds came in. The evenings were cool and rainy while we enjoyed cards and tea in the teahouses without crowds.

  In addition to the Langtang Valley, we followed NHT’s recommendation to add on the Gosaikunda and Helambu trek which linked the incredible lakes and pass of Gosaikunda to a very different region in Helambu off the popular tourist circuits which took us through remote farming communities of beautiful gardens and homes decorated with flowers.

  Our guide, Arjun, was highly knowledgeable of the flora, fauna, and cultural elements along the way and kept the days engaging with information and historical context to the areas we trekked. He was a fantastic guide, and we are so appreciative of the all the Nepal Hiking Team services.

  Our group of 3 booked an Everest Base Camp Heli Trek with Nepal Hiking Team. From the very first time I emailed the company, our experience was so positive. The team replies quickly to all emails and questions.
  
  It was easy to find our ride at the airport, where we were picked up and transferred to a very nice hotel. The team met with us in person the day before we started our trek to make sure we understood what to expect and to answer any questions.
  
  Our guide during the trek was phenomenal! So knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and helpful.
  
  After the trek, we also worked with Nepal Hiking Team to coordinate some lodging and transportation while we spent time in Kathmandu.

• Everest Base Camp - Small Group

  The trek itself is fantastic. So many amazing things: mountains, waterfalls, monasteries, yaks, eagles, mountain goats, suspension bridges, etc. The topography above and below the tree line is entirely different, and then further again when close to base camp. Every day requires enough effort that we greatly appreciated the hospitality of the tea houses each night. Sleeping the last few nights at higher altitudes was uncomfortable, which made the trek more satisfying.

  Nepal Hiking Team did a fantastic job handling all the logistics from Kathmandu to the trek and back. Our guide did a great job keeping us on track while allowing us to set a pace that we found comfortable. Will be reaching out to them for our next trek and highly recommend them.

• Island Peak Climb without EBC, had a great time!

  Embarking on a journey, to Island Peak with the Nepal Hiking Team turned out to be an experience that surpassed all my expectations. I was genuinely impressed by Gangas professionalism and efficiency in organizing the trip. He was very attentive, to every detail considering my preferences and requirements which was particularly important as I was traveling alone.

  Our journey began in the city of Kathmandu, where I had the delight of meeting my guide, Arjun. From the beginning his knowledge and friendly nature made me feel comfortable and relaxed Arjun. Right from the start his expertise and warm demeanor put me at ease. Arjun wasn't a guide; he became a trusted companion who shared stories about Nepals rich cultural heritage and the intricacies of its landscapes. His extensive knowledge about high altitude trekking proved invaluable ensuring our journey to Island Peak base camp was both safe and enjoyable.

  The trek itself unfolded as an adventure. Each day brought marvels – from forests and charming villages, to breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas. The accommodations arranged by NHT along our route were havens that provided needed rest after each days trekking.

  As we neared Island Peak the real test began. Arjuns leadership skills truly shone during this phase. He offered guidance and support ensuring we adhered to all safety measures meticulously.

  The Sherpas who guided us during the climb were truly remarkable. Their expertise and professionalism gave us confidence, with every step we took towards reaching the summit.

  Reaching the peak was an emotional moment. The breathtaking views from the top felt almost surreal making all the effort completely worth it. This accomplishment would not have been possible without Arjun and his team of Sherpas, whose support and knowledge were absolutely invaluable.

  In conclusion, my experience with Nepal Hiking Team was exceptional thanks to Arjun's guidance. Their commitment to ensuring an enjoyable and fulfilling trekking adventure is truly commendable.

• Epic EBC trek with seamless organization and an incredible guide! Loved it!

  My husband, sister and I had an amazing trek to EBC, which was fully coordinated by the Nepal Hiking Team. They also helped us organize a helicopter for my parents to meet us at Gorekshep. Ganga, Balaram, and the full NHT team did an awesome job managing the many moving pieces (weather, hiking pace, helicopter schedules etc.) to make the whole experience come together so perfectly and seamlessly. We cannot thank them enough!

  We also had the BEST guide in Arjun! He is a wonderful, humble, and incredibly knowledgeable guide who went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible throughout the trip. His stories about the mountains, the local culture, and his personal experiences added so much more context and understanding, bringing the whole experience to life.
