It was an awesome experience in Nepal, in which a big part of my trip was covered in the mountain, thank to NHT. Ganga, the company manager has been engaging since my inquiry and very efficient and patient with all my queries. They are flexible to customize to my needs due to my planned itinerary besides hiking. They also made arrangement for airport pick up and Ganga met me in person in my lodge to go through the procedures and discussion.
2 days prior to the trek it was raining heavily and many flights were cancelled. We were lucky to tag along a rescue helicopter to Lukla, also thank to Ganga's arrangement.
When we arrived at the start point, we were welcome by the friendly guide and porters. My relationship with Gurung, the guide was very good, he took care of me every single bit of the trip, as I was a slow walker in the team. He would check our conditions from time to time to ensure our well beings. Gurung and I joked around in the tea houses and we made many friends and some exchange of cultural knowledge.
I was not well when I returned from Everest Base Camp. We discussed and we decided that an evacuation was needed. Gurung visited me in the hospital and sent me back to the hotel after discharge. I had a farewell lunch with him. Ganga and Balaram, the 2 managers visited me on the 2 days and they even sent me to the hospital again for report collection. Balaram also sent me to the airport on my departure day.
I have total satisfaction and heart felt appreciation to Nepal Hiking Team. There were other companies who tried to compromise prices and quality but not NHT, who insisted on quality and care above all.
I'm back to Singapore safely. And they are keeping contact with me on some follow ups. I truly want to recommend you this company for their awesome service given the reasonable if not attractive price!
This trip was so awesome although I had some hiccups on my decent. I miss Nepal a lot, and the friendship shared.
