We did a 14 day Annapurna Circuit trek with Nepal Hiking Team 28 Apr - 12 May 2022. Communication leading up to the trip was fantastic, and we felt we had all the information we needed for this big adventure, one we'd never done the likes of before!
We had Indra as a guide and Gakul as a porter and they were such great company. We learned so much more about the wilderness, region, and country we were traveling through because of them! Card games, board games, words, culture, we learned so much just hiking and chatting with Indra and Gakul.
At almost every teahouse, we managed to get a bed that could sleep two, which was a pleasant surprise. We always had pomegranate seeds and apple slices for dessert, courtesy of our guide and porter. Ordering food and arranging accommodation was a breeze with them helping us.
Other groups we saw hiking on their own looked like they had a good time, but they mostly socialized amongst themselves. With our guide and porter, we got to meet other guides and porters and learn about where they came from, which made the experience much deeper and more authentic to us.
We were on the fence about hiring a company to help us with the trek, but are so glad we went with Nepal Hiking Team!
Would 100% hire them again for our next trek.
