An off-the-beaten-trail, the Khopra Ridge trekking is for those who want to have an isolated trekking experience. It goes away from the regular path that leads to Ghorepani and to Poon Hill and having already undergone the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek earlier with Nepal Hiking Team; I decided that I wanted to try out the Khopra ridge Trek. In my opinion, the Khopra ridge Trek has better views of the valley and of the mountains than Poon Hill. I know that Poon Hill is a vantage point and even has a hill station and a view tower, but Khopra Ridge trekking trail goes as high as 3,660 meters and the spectacular view of the Kali Gandaki gorge from that high up is simply out of this world! Ganga had swift replies to my mail, and the involvement of my guide Prakash was immaculate as always, but I expected as much from Nepal hiking Team. It is their efficiency and their excellent services that I decided to be accompanied by them again after my venture last year. The Khopra Ridge Trekking was even more amazing than the ones I had undergone before and I will recommend it to people who want to have a trekking experience that takes a different, more secluded route than the regular Poon hill trekking.
