Arriving at the airport with a garland of flowers, the welcoming ceremony, if we can call it that, was enough to confirm that I was definitely in good hands. I was then transferred to my hotel in Thamel, the Apsara Boutique Hotel, where the guide who would later be accompanying me on my trekking trip, Bhim Adhikari, arranged the meals and the stay and the rooms there. Bhim made sure that I had a good time doing the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley the next day. Visiting the temples, I had a good time exploring the sites and the temples and looking at the heritage sites. The Everest Base Camp on the early days of March was probably one of the best vacation times I have spent in Nepal with Nepal Hiking Team!
