We went on a 16-day trek to Everest Base Camp (EBC). My daughter and I, along with two other solo trekkers, formed a group of 4. We had a really good experience with Nepal Hiking Team. Ganga, who helped us plan the trip, always answered our questions quickly. They made sure our airport pickups and drop-offs went smoothly. We also got to enjoy a fantastic city tour.
The Woodapple Hotel and Spa was a nice place to stay at the beginning of our journey. And at the end of the trip, we stayed at the luxurious Shanker Hotel, which was a treat.
About the EBC Trek, it wasn’t easy, but it was worth it! We had a great guide (Sanjay) and an assistant guide (Bikash); both were invaluable to the success of our trip. At times I did not feel well and Sanjay checked on me constantly to make sure that I was okay to continue. Bikash often carried my backpack to ease the burden, with their help, “We made it!”.
In the evenings, as a group, with Sanjay and Bikash we played cards and had a lot of laughs. We had real team spirit, which I believe is very important to the success of any trek.
The teahouse selection was good and the food was fine. We used Nepal Hiking Teams sleeping bags and coats they provided and they were clean and warm.
I would highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team for any of the treks they provide and I would use them again in a heartbeat.
