The Nepal Hiking Team is a tightly run operation that helped me navigate the chaos and confusion of traveling in Nepal while simultaneously delivering top-notch service and personalized attention.
Before embarking on my journey, they were quick to reply to my inquiries and emails. Their website is easy to navigate and also includes an itemized packing list that saved me a massive pre -trip headache. I was also relieved to learn they could provide down jackets and sleeping bags on-location; this saved me a good amount of space in my backpack.
Upon my arrival in Kathmandu after an exhausting 30 hour journey, Hare greeted me at the airport, whisked me to the hotel, and broke down my itinerary. Two days later, following one day of rest and a second day touring Kathmandu's major sites, I set off for Lukla. The regional airport transfers were seamless and my excellent trekking guide, Suraj Dhakal, met me there. We began our trek up to Base Camp immediately.
Everything on the trek was going according to plan until the deadly Mount Everest avalanche on April 18th derailed my aspirations to cross some of the higher mountain passes. Despite this setback, the Nepal Hiking Team and I revamped my itinerary to include a visit to the jungles of Chitwan National Park. The company's flexibility and understanding of my situation ensured I still had a very memorable time in Nepal.
I'd definitely recommend the Nepal Hiking Team for your Nepal travel needs.
