Langtang Gosaikunda Trekking

 

langtang Gosaikunda Trekking combines three major areas north-east of Kathmandu along the border of Tibet Langtang, Gosainkunda, the major inhabitants of the region are Sherpa and Tamang who share a similar religion, language and clothing style. While continuing the journey we pass through the sacred lakes of Gosainkunda (4380m), a pilgrimage spot where, during the full moon festival of August, flow hundreds of pilgrims.

langtang Gosaikunda Trek offers an opportunity to explore villages, to climb small peaks and to visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. There are about 108 lakes or kund (in Nepali) in this area and mainly visible from the routes are Saraswati Kund, Bhairab Kund, Surya Kund and Gosainkunda is the famous and most important one.

langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek we can have excellent views of snowy mountain peaks, like the Langtang Lirung (7,246 m.). Gangchenpo (5,846 m.) and Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m.). The most peaceful and fascinating trekking in this area are Ganja La Pass and Ganesh Himal area.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Trek Preparation and Kathmandu Valley sightseeing Tour.

Day 03- Drive to Syabru Bensi (1462meters) by bus 8 hours.

Day 04- Trek to Lama Hotel (2500meters) 5 hours.

Day 05- Trek to Langtang Village (3307meters) 5 hours.

Day 06- Trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3798meters) 4 hours.

Day 07- Kyangjin Gompa exploration day.

Day 08: Trek down to Lama Hotel (2480 m.) Walking 6 hrs.

Day 09: Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2200 m.) Walking 5:30 hrs.

Day 10: Trek from Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa (3580 m.) Walking 5 hrs.

Day 11: Trek from Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda (4381 m.). Walking 5:30 hrs.

Day 12: Cross over Lauribina pass (4600 m.) descend to Ghopte (3420 m.) 6:30 hrs.

Day 13: Trek from Ghopte to Kutumsang (2540m) Walking 5:30 hrs.

Day 14: Trek from Kutumsang to Chisapani (2110m) Walking 6 hrs.

Day 15: Trek from Chisapani to Sundari jal and drive by car to Kathmandu. Walking 4 hrs.

Day 16: Transfer to airport for your home departure from Nepal. “Farewell”

ACCOMMODATION DURING THE TREK
Langtang Gosaikunda Trek does not need tremendous logistics in terms of accommodation as you will find plenty of clean and friendly lodges along the trail. We stay in single rooms where possible, but often you will have to share. Facilities in tea houses are limited but good enough to offer you a comfortable stay and hygienic meals. A few have electric lights and all have a spacious dining room-lounge. We will accommodate you and your group in local lodge available each day. We send a porter ahead of us to book the required rooms for the group (rooms cannot be booked in advance). Please remember that some of them are very basic and a sense of adventure is necessary.
MEALS & DRINKING WATER
On the Langtang Trekking we provide standard breakfast, lunch and dinner, tea or coffee will also be included with each meal. Your guide will help with menu selection and ensure that you get the best value meals possible. Although the food is usually plentiful and delicious, you should be aware that the menu is not normally extensive. Most teahouses offer a variety of rice and noodle dishes, as well as soup and seasonal vegetables. A variety of cereals, bread and egg dishes are generally available for breakfast. There will also be plenty of snacks available such as biscuits, chocolate and soft drinks and in some areas you will find fresh fruit in season.
During your trek in most the places the bottled water can be purchased, however due to environmental reason, we recommend you bring along purification tablets. Every Tea houses provide boiled and filtered water.
LUGGAGE WHILE TREKKING
During the Trekking in Langtang , your main luggage will be carried by porter. Please keep your luggage as light as possible about 15 to 18 KGS. You simply carry a day pack with water bottle, camera, sun-screen, wind proof jacket & your valuable item etc...
COMMUNICATION

Communication facilities in Langtang have been improved over the past few years. Every guest houses they have international call services. Internet cafes are also available some of the places.
TYPICAL DAY ON TREK

You will be woken by your guide, with a cup of hot tea & warm water for refresh. After packing our bags and having a good breakfast, we set off on the day's walk. We are usually start hiking between 7 am to 8 am, after 3-4 hours walks we stop for lunch at around midday, the maximum lunch break 1: 30 hours. Afternoon's walk is generally shorter and we usually arrive at our destination in time for afternoon tea. The remaining afternoon day can be explore the village or relax, it is depending on your interest or tiredness.

In the evening order your dinner before 6.00 pm so they will serve around 7.00 pm, after having dinner, you're guide will talk about brief programs, chatting different topic, like culture, mountains & religion etc... Often be spent playing cards your crew love to share various Nepali card games, finally, it's off to bed for a well deserved night's rest before you start it all again. "Have good sleep"
