Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Off the beaten path from the urban districts of Nepal are regions which are far removed from the weights of modern society. Here were have one of the most beautiful treks through this region with the Ghorepani Poonhill Trek. This is a trek that requires moderate physical endurance to cover, which is at the most as challenging as it gets, but only a short trek to Poonhill where you are able to get an up close view of the Himalayan mounts and have a chance to see the sunrise and sunset in a rare panoramic view from your seat in the amphitheater that nature has provided.

Here you will travel to the village of Ghorepani which is a close hike to Poonhill with a chance to meet the local villagers in their natural habits. You get to mingle with them and get to know their culture as it has been for thousands of years, steeped in Tibetan-Buddhist and scared Hindu traditions. You will enter a surrounding of rhododendron forests, bamboo trees and rich and lush wilderness that will leave you in awe. This trek is an opportunity of a lifetime to experience the wonder of rural Nepal unlike you ever have before.

If you are interested in experiencing a great and rare view of the Himalayan country side without the rigorous climb, than the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is the perfect trek adventure for you. Your routes on this trek will include the capital of Nepal which is Kathmandu followed by the city of Pokhara, where you will start to become familiar with the view of the villages nearby and then to Naya Pul. Here you will get to walk through the bamboo forests, see the waterfalls, and be part of the life In the small village on your way to Tikhe Dhunga. From the beginning, you will experience the culture and the richness of a city that is old and rich with historic pilgrimages, architecture and stories. Through the trek, you will meet villagers from different tribes and castes, and see how the villagers live in such beautiful surroundings. Your trek includes the village of Ghorepani, which is close to Poonhill. You can also see the sunrise unlike any you've ever seen before from the natural theater of Poonhill among the rhododendron forests, which grow Nepal's official flower.

The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is very easy going trek which requires some physical ability since the walks can be long and other than the 3300 steps in the village of Ulleri, there is very little difference in elevation. Your route will also include the village of Tadapani, Ghandruk and Pokhara through the rich and lush forests of Nepal. This is certainly a trek experience that you will never forget.
