My husband and I just completed the 20 day Annapurna Circuit in April and we can't imagine the trip without Nepal Hiking Team. They were professional, fun, encouraging, and knowledgeable...their customer service is incredible and they took care of us during our entire stay in Nepal, even before and after our trek. The entire trek was worth every penny.

The owners - Ganga, Ram, and Hari - are all super professional, flexible, and responsive to any client's needs. They helped us with everything from airport pickup, finding places to stay before our trek, flexibility with changed dates and rides, and more. If we wanted to customize our trip in any way - all we had to do was ask.

Our guide, Prakash, was one of the nicest people we'd ever met. He made our trek more enjoyable with his sense of humour and easygoing, patient personality. He was always checking in on us yet giving us our own space to enjoy the trek, and always attentive to any question or need we had. The entire team, including our helper Raj, not only made the trek possible for us, but they made it that much better with their company. They paid attention to small details and from what I observed all along the way, their service went above and beyond what other tour guides or companies provided.

The food choices along the trail were better than I expected – more options that I thought would be available at that altitude! The lodging was always great, and we were always comfortable. Every night on our trek, they provide sliced apples and oranges. After long days of trekking and with limited fruit on the trail, this small detail became so special to us - not to mention the fact that our guide carried enough fruit in his pack to make this possible during the entire trek! You get to borrow good quality down sleeping bags, duffel bags, and down jackets from the company. A huge bonus for those not wanting to purchase or pack these, like us. The nights in Kathmandu before and after the trek, the night in Pokhara, and the day tour in Kathmandu are all wonderful and so worth it. These were huge additions to our experience as well.

Finally, these guys are just so respectable. They've worked their way from being helpers themselves, to assistant guides, to guides, to owning their own company. I have huge respect for them because
they have so much experience, and they take care of their employees. Everyone who worked for them seemed happy to be working for them, which says a lot about a way a trekking company is run.

Just back from a fantastic trip to Nepal with family of four. After a bit of internet research, we decided to book a 20 day trek with Nepal Hiking Team. From first contact, Ganga provided prompt and useful information, and he was more than happy to tailor the tour to our needs. Their quoted rates were also very competitive.

From the moment we set foot in Kathmandu we were well looked after by Ganga and his team - more than living up to our expectations. Our guide Arjun and porters Gopal and Prem went out of their way to make our trek as enjoyable as possible - we quickly got to consider them friends rather than guide/porters. There was also great flexibility on the trek with the itinerary changed to suit our needs, which was very valuable as you can never predict weather and how your body reacts to the high altitudes and cold. We also made good friends with a "parallel" trekking party from Nepal Hiking Team with Raj as guide, who seemed to enjoy an equally good relationship.

After the trek, Ganga with short notice organized a trip to Chitwan National Park where we saw rhinos and wild elephants - though the elusive tiger remained so.

I can strongly and wholeheartedly recommend Nepal Hiking Team for any trekking trips in Nepal - all from the team we have come across have been pleasant and professional, and I do not have a single bad experience with them - we will be back for more trekking and  adventure in Nepal with Nepal Hiking Team.

My daughter arranged a trekking trip in Nepal with Ganga’s company. Unfortunately for me I ran into problems on the first leg from Lukla to Namche and had to go back on horseback to Lukla while my daughter continued on with one of Ganga’s guides. Another guide went with me and the horse to Lukla. Once I returned to Kathmandu, I was met in the airport by Ganga who arranged another itinerary for me. It was well planned, properly supported with driver and a guide and good accommodations.

I was not made to feel guilty because of the trouble I caused. I felt comfortable and secure and was able to visit various towns and sites in Nepal. Ganga and his team reacted to our situation in a very professional, thoughtful and responsive manner. Even though it was disappointing that Lara and I Couldn’t spend the time together , because of Ganga and his team both Lara and I could say it was a great trip.

Arriving at the airport in Kathmandu can be challenging, and getting off the plane we didn't know what to expect, but from the moment the 6 in our group arrived, Ganga and everyone at NHT made sure everything went perfectly smoothly. From pick up at the airport, a great hotel in Kathmandu, a complete briefing, good gear provided, and most importantly, a GREAT trek to Everest Base Camp, from start to finish, the team did not leave any detail unattended.

Nepal Hiking Team Friendly, welcoming, accommodating and very knowledgeable. On top of that, their offering is fantastic value and every bit worth it. If I had my time again I wouldn't consider any other way of doing the trip. Over our 12 day trek, guide Bhim was full of knowledge, expertise, and warmth, and was very accommodating and understanding of both our needs and the necessities of the trail.

We also knew that if anything unexpected were to occur, Ganga and the team back in Kathmandu were just a phone call away to help and knew every detail of what to do if we needed assistance.

It's the little things that count - a guide who understands and can be flexible to work around the groups' needs if issues arise or Ganga & the team going out of their way to help us out beyond what was needed when a member of our team was ill back in Kathmandu.

I can't hesitate to recommend these guys enough. They are professionals, with a great offering and superb value. But above that, they are warm, understanding and intelligent people who will ensure you get the most out of your trip and your experience, from the time you step off the plane, to the time you leave Nepal. A personal touch that counts. Put your trust in them and you won't be disappointed.

We would just like to say that we really enjoyed our holiday with your company in Nepal.
The accommodation in Kathmandu was very good and the choice of tea houses on the trek was also good.
Our guide Bhim did an excellent job. We very quickly became more like friends than guide and client. We had lots of fun on the way always making jokes.  He was always willing to fulfil our requests. I remember when we stayed in Namche and we decided we would like to go to the view point near the museum at night to see the mountains under the starlight. I told Bhim after we had our dinner and it was about 7.pm and he explained that he had not yet had his dinner. I said it would be alright as I new the way and we had our head torches and that he did not need to come with us, however he insisted.
Both Bhim and his brother Khar did an excellent job and are an asset to your company.

We  would not hesitate in recommending your company to others interested in travelling to Nepal.

I trekked to Everest Base Camp (EBC) in Sept/Oct 2011 with Nepal Hiking Team. Right from the airport pickup to the drop off they were great. All my requests, including the quirky ones, were tackled promptly and with pleasure. The guide and porters assigned for the trek were competent, professional and pleasant. I feel Nepal Hiking Team represents great value for money, and I have no hesitation recommending them to others. Back to work I can't stop thinking of the wonderful trekking around Annapurna. A special thank to Ganga, boss of Nepal Hiking Team, and to Raj my mountain guide. The organization of the trekking was perfect as well as my stay in Kathmandu. As a solo traveller I always felt safe and between friends. Wow! I am having difficulty expressing my experience into words! Let\'s start at the beginning I suppose. Being a 20 year old woman, I was feeling a little apprehensive about trekking solo in Nepal. Nepal Hiking Team assured me (and my parents) that they would take great care of me and they sure delivered! Not only did I really enjoy the quiet, solemn moments on the mountain, but I really bonded with my guide. I felt wonderfully at ease during my trek, thanks to my guide and the generous tea house owners!

The Gokyo trek in particular was phenomenal! I was physically challenged and rewarded. Every step of the way was a new visual experience. If you choose this trek do not leave out the 4th and 5th lakes!!! The views and sense of accomplishment cant be described here. You have to get out and DO IT!

During September 2010, me and my two collegues from medical school completed the Everest high passes trek + Island Peak sumiting during a 25 day period with Nepal Hiking Team (NHT).

Without hesitation I give NHT my highest recomendations. I recommend NHT to everyone intending to visit Nepal thanks to their frendliness, helpfullness, knowledge and professionalism.

From the moment on arrival at Kathmandu international airport we were welcomed and transported to the hotel which we were staying at before taking off to the mountains. (Hotel del-Annapurna, one of the finest hotels in Kathmandu housing all thinkable facilities needed. And with an outstanding breakfast buffé:-)

At every step of this trip we were extremely well taken care of. We were provided with a highly experiend, and very good English-speaking mountain guide. Thanks to his huge experience we got loads of nice information about the local people, the landscape, the mountains etc etc.

Everyone reacts different to high altitude and our guide was very careful to make sure that we were feeling well every day while ascending further up the mountains. He had all knowledge nessecary to notice and treat/prevent altitude related problems.
(As a 5th year student of the Medical University of Gdansk (Poland) I believe it is essential that you get a guide which is familiar with altiture sickness, because this can happen to anyone if not beeing careful enough.)

Food and accomodation was way over our expectations. Every day on the trek we got to chose whatever we wanted from the menus at the local tea-houses. Every night we were accomodated in very comfortable beds. At the summiting of Island Peak we were provided with an exellent climbing guide and good climbing equipment.

We are all very much looking forward to go back to Nepal, to explore other regions of this amazing country and when we get back we will be very happy to be clients of Nepal Hiking Team again.
