Bhairav Kunda Trekking, The Bhairav Kund is named after the destructive aspect of Lord Shiva and is one of the sacred pilgrimage sites for Shamans pilgrimage site through untouched traditional villages in spectacular Himalayan landscapes to reach the holy lake Bhairav Kunda which is located to the northeast of kathmandu and closer to Nepal Tibet border.
Jalbire, the starting point for Bhairav Kunda trek is a five to six hour bus drive from Kathmandu towards the Tibetan border. We travel through a mixture of beautiful mountain scenery and the terraced fields and characteristic houses of rural villages from different ethnic groups. You will spend your fist night with experiencing the Newari culture of jalbire, as soon as you got jalbire your guide will give a short talk on trekking altitude sickness and the highlights of the trek inclusive the holy Bhairav Kund, the incredible Himalayan scenery and the life style of nomadic people unchanged by time.
Bhairav Kunda trekking winds along an old trade route between Nepal and Tibet. Through a number of unspoilt Buddhist villages, past chortens and Sherpa houses. The unusual climatic and geographical mix makes this area a naturalist's dream and a mecca for those who appreciate traditional cultures. Along the trail you will experience spectacular views of mountains in Nepal the Jugal Himal section of the Himalayan Range,the peaks Dorje Lakpa (6966), Madiya (6257M) and Phurbi Ghhyachu (6637m) and beautiful mountain range beyond the Nepal to Tibet.
Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Trek preparation and Kathmandu Valley Sihgtseeing tour.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 3:Kathmandu (1350m.) - Jalbire (1000m.) Drive by Bus about 4-5 hours
Day 4: Jalbire - Chanaute (1350m.) 4hours walk.
Day 5:Chanaute - Khani Gaon (2000m.) 6hours walk.
Day 6:Rest day with Local Village sightseeing
Day 7: Khani Gaun - Forest Camp (3150m.) 6-7 hours walk
Day 8: Forest Camp - Pati (3765m.) 5 hours walk
Day 9: Pati - Bhairab Kunda (4250m.) 3 hours walk
Day 10: Bhairab Kunda - Sherpa Gaun (2500m.) After Sunrise view 6-7 hours walk.
Day 11:Sherpa Gaun - Larcha (1500m.) and visit Hot spring (Kodari highway)
Day 12: Larcha - Kathmandu drive by bus 5-6 hours
Day 13: Leisure day in Kathmandu.
Day 14: Transfer to international airport for your final departure. “farewell”
1. Airport / Hotel / Airport pick up & drop off by car / Van / Bus.
2. 4 nights’ accommodation with breakfast at deluxe hotel in Kathmandu.
3. 1 nights’ accommodation in Pokhara (inclusive of Government taxes, breakfast, lunch & dinner).
4. Guided city tour in Kathmandu valley as per above program.
5. An experience Guide (trained by Ministry of tourism), required number of porters, their food, accommodation, salary, insurance, equipments.
6. Surface Transfer to and from Kathmandu by bus.
7. Full board meal (veg. / non veg.) prepared by our expert cook.
8. Trekking equipment (two men tent, dining tent, kitchen tent, Table with chairs, kitchen utensils, Down sleeping bag / Jackets, walking sticks, and other necessary equipments during the trek).
9. All conservation fees and TIMS.

1. Meals whilst in Kathmandu allow US$ 10 - US$ 12 per meal.
2. Travel insurance (if you want us to arrange your travel insurance, we would greatly be happy to assist).
3. International air fare to and from Nepal.
4. Nepal entry visa fee US$ 30 (duration 60 days from date of issue)- you may easily issue the visa upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport - Kathmandu.
5. International Airport Tax in Nepal - approx. US$ 24.
