Annapurna Panorama Trek

The Annapurna Panorama Trek is a short circuit around the foothills of the Annapurna Mountains that rewards you with tantalizing views of snow-clad peaks from a variety of places enroute. The trail winds through the subtropical and temperate forests, terraced fields, picturesque villages, patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests, and past icy waterfalls.  Around every corner is a tempting glimpse of the high mountains and horizons to be revealed to you as you reach the high points of the trek. This trek in the Annapurna foothills offers all the best for those who do not have time for the marathon for whole Annapurna circuit trek. Completed in five days, the trek along the charming villages inhabited by the Gurungs and Magars, and different major ethnic groups, you will experience the cultural variation among them.

Also popularly known as Annapurna sunrise trek, the Annapurna Panorama Trek begins with sightseeing tour of the historical and cultural sites of Kathmandu - the temples, shrines, Stupas, bazaars, streets, and monuments. Next day, after 6-7 hours’ pleasant car/bus ride, we reach the lovely city of Pokhara. The real walking begins next day from Nayapul. We march ahead through the forests, valleys, and charming culturally rich villages enjoying the splendid views of mountains. We march at dawn to conquer the photographer’s paradise, Poon Hill (3210m), perhaps one of the most beautiful viewpoints on earth.  The scene is indescribable as the sun’s morning rays slowly illuminates the snow-capped summits, the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m.) and Annapurna (8,091m.), along with numbers of other peaks.

The Annapurna Panorama Trek 's next culturally important aspect begin as we trek to the popular Gurung village of Ghandruk where we get an opportunity to enjoy the ethnic hospitality along with the cultural brilliance of Gurung Museum. Trekking through the Rhododendron forest we descend down to Birethanti, passing by waterfalls and few small villages. Our Annapurna Panorama Trek will be even more interesting in spring as the whole forest along the trail turns red, pink and white with rhododendron flowers. As we trek back to Nayapul the short circuit of Annapurna Panorama trek ends and we drive back to Pokhara and finally to Kathmandu for our return flights to our destinations.
