Mera Peak Climbing

Nepal is a haven for first time climbers with several treks naturally designed for amateur climbers. Situated among some of the tallest mountain ranges in the world, Mera Peak (6476m) is one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal which are permitted for climbing by climbers who do not have any prior experience in climbing.

Mera Peak is one of the most scenic and incredible peaks in Nepal. Every year, thousands of mountaineering enthusiasts visit Nepal to climb the mighty Himalayan peaks. Situated in the popular Mt. Everest region, with the mighty Mt. Everest in the background, Mera Peak offers breathtaking and surreal views of some of the tallest mountains in the world including Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho-Oyu to transform you to a completely different world.

The climbing of Mera Peak starts after a short flight to the airstrip of Lukla, Mera Peak allows adventure lovers and mountaineering enthusiasts to be a part of the mountain climbing experience in the Himalayas. In addition, lying in the enclosure of Mt. Everest and Kanchenjunga, watching the sun descend from the snow packed gigantic peaks is an experience that will remain etched forever in the memories of the climbers.

Despite the fact that Mera Peak climbing is physically demanding owing to its high altitude, climbing this summit is not technically perilous as the ascent seldom exceeds 40 degrees. Anyone with excellent physical fitness can be a part of this outstanding climbing experience. Climbers in order to get acclimatized to the diverse climatic conditions start from the initial walk through the forests of the Hinku Valley and then move on the higher altitude region. While climbing the Mera Peak, climbers also get an excellent opportunity to familiarize with the colorful local Nepalese and Tibetan tribes.

Splendid forests, alpine environment and picturesque small hamlets where Sherpas still graze yaks and cook on fire make this Mera Peak climbing an unforgettable experience. The simplicity of life, unbelievable hospitality and unparalleled natural beauty allow the climbers to take their excitement levels to new heights. Being an easy grade climb, Mera Peak climbing is one of the best ways to be a part of a life changing mountaineering experience. Savor the joy and thrill of trekking in a beautiful valley for an unparalleled travel experience.
