Annapurna Circuit Trek
The Annapurna massif is perhaps the most astonishing and extraordinary mountain range in the Himalayas. The walking country in and around this mountain range is simply spectacular – it is well known among the trekking enthusiasts that the Annapurna are amongst the most highly regarded walking holidays in the world. The 300 km trek in Annapurna Circuit trail is one of the most popular classic treks in the world circumnavigating world's tenth highest mountain, the Annapurna and several other major peaks of Annapurna massif that offers most splendid Himalayan vistas. From a mere height of 800 meters to the high altitude of 5, 416 meters, you will pass through a diverse geographical and cultural variation with an amazing range of flora and fauna that prosper within the range.
Our Annapurna Circuit Trek 20 days program starts with brief introductory sightseeing program along some world heritage sights in Kathmandu. We begin the trek from Syange/Jagat after about 8 to 9 hours of drive from Kathmandu. The initial days of the trek involves walking through friendly villages, rice farms, forests, and in the lower realms of the Annapurna Conservation Area. Our Annapurna Circuit Trekking 20 days itinerary continues passing through dozens of lowlands and high mountain villages and some of the most spectacular natural scenery in the world. Just imagine the thrills of crossing the famous high pass, the Thorong La Pass (5,416m) on the way from Manang to Muktinath with Annapurna I, world’s tenth highest mountain rising to 8091m to the east and Dhaulagiri towering 8167m to the west accompanied by several neighboring peaks! Trekking ahead from Muktinath passing through the touristic town of Jomsom and the apple orchards of Marpha, enter the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest in the world, and before ending our trek in the foothills once more we stop en route to watch sunrise over the mountains from summit of Poon Hill at (3,210m). Circling back to Pokhara, we further explore more spectacular natural sceneries, hot springs, and culturally rich medieval ethnic villages.
It is often said that if you aim to do just one trek in the Himalayas, then the Annapurna Circuit is the one to complete. Though in recent years, the development of dirt road has garnered Annapurna hiking much negative press and this has been a matter of disappointment to many trekkers who desire to do Annapurna circuit trek. Recognizing the concern of trekkers, we have designed this itinerary taking utmost care to avoid the road construction sites. While we avoid the new road construction sites the different new and off-beaten courses are being discovered which we are sure delights passionate trekkers. Although all new roads cannot be totally avoided our guides who have through knowledge of the area take the alternative routes wherever possible
